I knew Jesus all my life and took him seriously when I was 16, then I slipped. I wanted what others had, especially living in a strict household I wanted 'the life'. Seeing myself as inadequate in many ways. That my gift was lowly, so I changed. I was in a season of my life that was chamleon like. Always trying to bounce in between different worlds. I was lost, just like the prodigal son. Not too far gone, but on the fence. When I returned to God, I used to compare what others had. Like Saul I was letting peoples decisions sway me. Especially looking at others who were farther away from God. Receiving what I saw as more than me. Moving away from his light once more. I'm 22 now, through the pruning season and period of isolation He has reformed me. Though I have so much more He can work through me I take it day by day.

This put so many things into perspective! It reminded me of John 21: 20-23 where Peter asks Jesus about another disciple and Jesus is basically like, that is none of you business.
