Weed was a struggle for me. What he taught me was it’s a counterfeit, it’s amazing at first the happy feeling, the peace, the creativity the weed gives is artificial. God can do all that and more but he last forever and is much better. It was not easy at all but he did deliver me from it

I’m 19 and was freed from my addictions from Jesus of constant abuse for 5 years starting at a young age. I was hurting so bad and needed healing, I still feel there is a part of me hurting. I pray for help I can’t do this alone🙏🏼😕

I read this book about quitting drinking earlier this year and there was a metaphor that I feel like is so apt to this message. Not gonna be the best reiteration but off the dome: A fly is attracted to a pool of nectar. The fly can indulge in the nectar once or twice, and maybe not be pulled in completely, but the more and more it does, the longer it drinks, and the greater the risk that it is sucked in and becomes trapped is. That’s how I feel about indulging in the flesh and not allowing the Holy Spirit to lead… it’s a slippery slope for sure

coming back to this later, just want to give my testimony. Our farther is merciful and forgives. I was blessed and baptized by the Lord. Ill explain more, Theres more context I want to include. But I am not perfect to, Leviticus 16 was actually a scripture i was baptized with, I have been on a 10 month journey whether i felt luke warm or not, were imperfection and set perfect by only our creator. Follow God by all means even if it feels delulu. Its your parent no one will ever understand you and their relationship down to the bone.
