Comparison is still blocking me on my walk right now. I’m not saved at this time and I’m actively searching, and I would feel myself getting upset, angry, and discouraged seeing other people be in the spirit while I couldn’t. I would hear testimonies about people who were saved as early as 7 years old and it would make me feel enraged and outclassed rather than motivated. This jealousy continued to burn when my younger brother got the Holy Spirit before I did, and I’m just recently learning how to defuse these feelings of envy and jealousy. I’m glad to hear that there are other people out there who’ve already dealt with competition and came out better than before. I’ll continue to work with God to help with my competitive spirit.

As a Christian college student I was wondering how do you deal with the constant anti-religion sentiment of other students. The other students in my class are pretty anti-Christian (one of my old classmates even had a “God is sqrt(-1)” sticker and treated me a bit curtly in some of our group projects). I’ve had past experiences where I’ve had “friends” treat me poorly because I am Christian, and I guess I’m afraid to really be open about it. I was wondering how do you find the courage to really be open in an environment that’s so anti-Christian? Sorry for the ramble this just has been on my heart for years.

I dont know if you've heard of the singles events churches host to help singles find potential Spouses but the way you come up with these ideas for friendships you need to head that ministry. give it to God just a thought.
