fact about the 90's... whether it was underground or mainstream, it was all dope. no matter where you looked, it was just dope music. at the time, you had grouds like Tribe, De la, wu, pete rock and CL, pharcyde, etc...they were all pretty popular back in the 90's... then you had the lesser known shit like shades of brooklyn, godfather don, and what have you. but it was all good. miss those times.

People like to forget but there was wack music then too. Plenty of dudes ripping off other rappers' styles or biting other producers' beats, and plenty of artists with wack R&B choruses or no mic presence. On the whole though the late 80s through the late 90s was the Golden Era to me and many others
