Simmons at FSU came in benching about 350 and graduated doing around 550. The average college offensive lineman was around 350. In the NFL with the Browns they moved him to LB from Nt as at 245 pounds he was handled by NFL linemen as his short arms that were great in weightlifting pressing movements were a detriment in getting off blocks in the NFL plus thise NFL guys were as strong. I truly thought WCW was gonna put the belt on JYD in late, late 80s, may have been 90. It was huge when he showed up. But, Simmons slamming Vader was truly epic! He deserved a run with the title. I remember him talking about the Sidewalk Slam and how that's something you really do in a fight. And that's true, if you're big enough. :D I'm sure he could do it better than most.
