As they often do.😁 Wresling stories have a uniqueness about them ... they are awesome. In fact, i quit watching mid-ruthless era, but Still consume rassling thru channels like this and Many more, as it is interesting To look at it with an adult look( im 46) . As an exemple, i now know that my hero, hogan... well, he was a massive cunt. Reflecting on this ... good lord that the attitude era was amazing, nothing compare To it, and never Will, because in ring storytelling is dead, it is just a succession of spot, and matches have been formated To fit the tv formula. Only Levesque, who look like a student of the...game can save WWE from going under within.10 years, mark my word. Reality's a bitch: Many left winger (in canadian, so i am impartial here) dont seem To understand that Donald Trump, a good friend of vince, had gone To great lenght To alleviate the backlash of covid. Just a snarky remark.😉

@@darknightbegins85 Possibly but by the time he got to the WWF, he didn't need the title. If he had gotten there earlier, right around the time that Ahmed was first getting over, Ron would have made a good WWF champion. Ron also wasn't as agile when he got to the WWF. He was also heavier when he got there. The Nation was over and later his run with the APA made it so that Ron didn't need to have the title. The APA made him more of a badass considering that the guys would go to him for protection. Someone like that doesn't need the title.

@Millennial Smark you're an idiot. One of 2 things you absolutey DO NOT WANT to do in today's world is a a racially themed gimmick or story line. The backlash from both sides of divude would destroy your company. The other is a sexually insensitive story---anything from rape to a boss harrassing employee. The negative publicity would ruin careers of any one involved.

@ShadowAngel color me shocked that a big black NWA/WCW champ didnt draw well in Georgia and the Carolinas in the early 90s. That era was too soon for him and too soon for southern rasslin. As a kid I always thought he was a top guy around 90 or 91, but at that time WCW fans wouldn't have really wanted anyone as the champ other than Flair or Sting. I catch these cornette clips from time to time. Every time, cornette knows best. Smartest guy in the room type. I love oldschool wrestling stories but the nerd needs to relax with correcting dates by a month.

I think Ron did his best work as part of a tag team. Doom was great and so was the APA. The APA was a dominant team and their protection agency made for some of the best backstage segments the WWF ever produced. Considering that Ron was older and wasn't as agile by the time he got to the WWF, the change to more selling from Ron and more power moves was a good choice. Ron would sell and Bradshaw would come in and brawl. Ron had one of the best Spinebusters in the business.

Butch Reed was also an NFL player before becoming a pro wrestler, albeit a short career. Great wrestler, be him paying babyface or (usual) heel.
