In this clip, Godfrey and Vlad discuss the disparities in treatment for Black men versus their white counterparts. Vlad offered up his experience which reinforced Godfrey's overall point. They both believe that cops should only be allowed to police the communities they live in which would reduce police related killings but Godfrey believes the entire policing system and objective is on some "Ku Klux Klan sh**."

I disagree. I’ve talked back to cops and I’m black. You have to know how to speak. Cops are mainly average people with a gun. They for the most part haven’t gone through training on how to psycho-analyze or any of that. Not only have I talked, I got KICKED OUT of a cruiser before and received an apology. Cop didn’t know how to control the situation. He asked questions from a point of superiority, and I respectively and intelligently answered them and posed a question back the nature of the question he initially asked. Example: “What are you doing out here?” “I’m out here doing [blah blah blah], but what are you doing out here?” “I’m out here protecting the community....” “Well that’s interesting because I’ve lived here for a while, am a member of [community groups] and am socially active and I’ve never seen you once, so how are you protecting it?” And so on. He had too much ego and let it take over, so he kept responding because he was challenge. Thus a 21 year old in the back seat that was cuff had taken over the situation and was now the one in control. He made threats of getting charged with disobeying a lawful order and everything, I accepted it but kept applying the pressure. Mind you he could of shut the window or just stopped talking but since I was passive on my gamble (wasn’t sure if he’d fall for it) and approach, it lowered his defense and gave him an opportunity to present his authority - before it was challenged, and once it was challenged he fell right into trap because he was engaged. Now when I was about 15 or 16, I didn’t do that, just talked shit about how I don’t like them and they did it back while still rummaging through my pockets. I learned from that experience. My point is that speaking is a skillset that people mess up on. A lot of these cops ARE bullies but they’re not that bright. They want you to respond aggressively and are only really used to that, so you have to walk the fine line of not being aggressive but also not appearing weak - try your best to be calm and use an extensive vocabulary. Gauge their responses and find an out for where you can casually take over the scenario. Also know your laws. That doesn’t mean that you won’t run into the ones that will start punching on you because that shit does happen. But that aside, learn the skills of psychology and sociology and apply them.
