godhand: don't use it on sprue, clear plastics, or hard plastics. don't drop it, don't look at it the wrong way. it will serve you well like a skilled samurai serving its master. dspiae: adjust the stopper if necessary. adjust it so it'll stop exactly when the blade(s) meet. otherwise it'll overlap a little and make that annoying second "click". after you teach it to do its job, like a trained assassin, it will cut cleanly, and it will not disappoint you. both: don't touch any of the steel parts with your oily grubby fingers, clean with dry brush or towel after use, and apply nipper oil or wd40 every year / couple of months -depend on how many you built. Contrary to popular belief, wd40 will not ruin your nippers, it'll simply disappear and leave them dry instead of staying on and constantly lubricating them. or just buy tamiya. tamiya will love you unconditionally like a loyal dog, through fucked up hard plastics and bad kits. it won't always do a great job, but it will always gave its all. You'll know that it always try its best to serve you until the very end. where it'll go to nipper heaven -not as a good boi, but as the best.

That the best description. Godhand, Dspiae are like super cars best at what they do but require attention. Tamiya a cheap fast Ford might not be as well done but the job will get finished.

Has Tamiya ever built a single edged nipper? Most of the nippers, such as the popular 74123, is a double edged nipper which makes it only as good as any other nipper used in electronics industry. Also its the same price of Dspiae ST-A 3 anyways, so might as well grab it

@@SunGodNikaUsopp It's because of its sharpness. Sharp blades are extremely thin, especially on GodHands. That makes it brittle

I've never used the Godhands purely on cost and durability (I've seen so many pics of broken tips). But I've had my Dspaie 3.0 for over a year and they are still going strong. I can totally recommend them.

I think most people are turned away by the price. A for broken ones, I have found that people usually cut too close to the tip and or twist their hands as they cut. But if your 3.0s are doing work, then there's no need to switch. 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting!

Godhands only break when used wrong or roughly. Godhands aren't meant to be used on hard clear plastic or to cut the pieces off the runner but to cut the left over sprue. And for the love of god don’t drop them there not pliers.

I'm on my second pair of God Hands because the blade stop backed out unknowingly and allowed the blade to break half way to the hinge after 36 days and two MG kits. My second pair has been preset and i applied blue threadlocker as a precaution to prevent it from backing out until I need it to move. I have both the ST-A and the new ST-X Dspiae nippers coming in soon so hopefully they'll last a lot longer than a month 😅

Hey Ray! Great question. Honestly I haven't done anything special. As I mentioned in the video, all I do is wipe the nippers down with a paper towel to remove any finger oils and plastic and put them back into their sleeves. I believe there are other channels that do a lot more than me, but I find this to work well enough. 😁

If I may provide my personal experience, I’ve been using the Godhand nippers for over 18 months now and, like Plamo Therapist, I’ve done minimum maintenance consisting in a good soft paper towel or a soft fleece cloth to clean the blades after each work session, ensuring no plastic residue remains on or between the blades. I did not use any lubricant or oil. In my experience resting the nipper blades inside their cover after each use and ensuring they are not dropped from heights is a great way to maintain the Godhand nippers. Mine works as the first day after almost two years of good use.

@PlamoTherapist
@PlamoTherapist 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Conan! Great question! If you let your paint cure properly (at least 24 hours) the topcoat should not affect the paint. I've done several kits where I've sprayed lacquer topcoat over acrylics like my Messer and Silver Bullet Suppressor and have had no issues. If you're still unsure, you can always spray some acrylic paint on a spoon and spray the topcoat over that so you can test that for yourself. Hope this helps, and best of luck to you! 😁😁😁

I just received my Dispae 3.0 today and before i use them I’m trying to clear up some confusion I have. The instructions say to not use on clear or ABS plastic, but i’m wondering, is it okay to cut off the runner with cheap nippers and then cleanup the nub with the 3.0 on ABS? Or should I entirely avoid touching them to ABS. Like I understand to not cut off the runner with them, but am finding mixed info when it comes to this question

Hey there! Great question! I personally haven't had any issues using them on ABS, I know ABS plastics in Non-Bandai kits can have different properties, so I will answer the question like this: in terms of Bandai kits, it's safe to use the DSPAIEs on them. For Companies making their own Mecha kits, I can't say for all, but I have used them on the Infinite Dimension Genesis without issue. In terms of a two-cut method, that'll be the best method for ensuring they last a long time! I hope this answers your question. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. 😁

@PlamoTherapist
@PlamoTherapist Жыл бұрын
Hey, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still using the same god hands from the video even over a year later. There are a few things that I've seen that causes breaks. One, cutting too high up on the blade. If you cut near the tip, you risk flexing the blade which is not good and can cause it to eventually break. It's on the instruction sheet that comes with the nippers now. Two, cutting clear plastic. Clear plastic is different from the regular plastic of gunpla kits. It's stronger, so these nippers don't work and can break if used repeatedly on harder plastic. Three, twisting the nippers during the cut. If you are turning your hand at all, you are again putting tension on the blade that it isn't intended to handle. This one is also on the care sheet that you should have gotten with these nippers. I've found that God hands don't break that easily unless misused, and it sucks that you lost that much money on tools. I do hope your new nippers work out for you and keep these in mind when using those as well.

I will not hesitate to buy God hand sanding sponges. Especially the block shaped ones. Perfect hardness, long lasting sand paper. But I cannot fathom spending money on their nipper. For that price the nipper should cut and sand the nub marks to oblivion. But it doesn't. You'll still need to clean up after, why get anything more than a cheap well made nipper. Doesn't even have to be dspiae. Don't buy for the brand people, but the effectiveness of individual products.

From their nippers, to their drill bits, to their sanding sponges, you know that what you are buying will perform better than other companies out there, especially ones that aren't catering to our hobby. They have built that reputation of quality and are no different from tool companies for trades like Ryobi, DeWalt, or Milwaukee; just specific to Gunpla and plamo. 😁 Are they the absolute best at everything?
