While doing some tests in different scenarios for the Fanatec CSL, I went to a touge Life to do some runs. There was this really fast AE86 driver (in a drift 86 nonetheless) so went for a run.
Driver is KoukiiCrisp

dislike\modified in like for the effort in the race :D sorry it was paintful see how you are weak with manual gears if you learn to change relative to torque is better then try to be "god feet" because you know how keisuke brother drive the RX no? "god foot" for manage tires and exit from corner and dont use all rpm because a 8000 rpm you dont have torque so you cant accellerate ah....and try to use left foot for brake like rally i know what im saying because i did illegal races in mugello italy, not in the circuit but in the open traffic streets around tuscany, italy thrust me my bmw z4 2.2 and me ... we listen only initial D music XD

If you watch closely, you can see him speed drift multiple times. These are moments where as he's mid - exit on the corner, the rear wiggles (not fishy, just starts getting more lateral inertia) out a bit as he accelerates. Dude was drifting, it was just super mild. Very good throttle control on the 86 driver.

His way of tackling the corner is different he goes in deep from the outside slow and can smash the gas with the amount of room he has, making him have faster exit. And that's why callsign couldn't keep up on the exits unless it was a long straight

What a good battle. I would say that some of the corners would have benefitted from you drifting, but forms here were both VERY good. I'm also impressed about the etiquette displayed, as both the FD and R34 moved aside to let you battle. I do want to ask, how to you deal with the chassis being too stiff/lack of rotation you get in some corners? I haven't quite figured out how to adapt with good results.

i think the main difference between the two of you is that the AE86 driver uses throttle to control the car's inertia, but you use it to accelerate out of the corner, overdriving the car and requiring steering corrections that hurt your exit speed... also, the 86 driver is beautifully inducing understeer at almost every corner exit. it's subtle, but as other people pointed it out, he does slide the car entry-mid corner, then cancels the "drift", therefore giving the front of the car an outside momentum, allowing him to have more time under acceleration at corner exit. this can be observed as you lose ground at the start of a straight(you're also low in engine rpm), but you gain some by the end of the acc. zone _well, at least that's how i see it. i just got today the "revelation"/reminder that throttle is best used mid corner to change the car's inertia(yaw/maintain speed), rather than trying to accelerate out of the corner as fast as possible. So i thought i can share this even if i'm bad in a lot of driving aspects. Therefore, take everything with a grain of salt.._

All you need for this kind of thing is the game itself and the japanese car pack-- the track is a mod. As for what's "the best starter pack", I guess that depends what cars you want to drive. As for the cost, the game is only $5 rn on steam, and the japanese pack is $3-- so a staggering eight dollars (lol).

You were right at the edge. He stopped using the best line close the end, but there wasn't enough room or time to counter. I thought you had him on the long straight but you were nice enough not to wedge or bump him out of the way. Good clean race!

And even then, only doing a minimal as necessary. THAT'S how good drivng on a mountain course--any course!--is done!

What's interesting is that when Kajot drives you hear his tires squealing in every corner. I think he really is able to push the car to it's limits and keep it there without spinning..

Amazing! Subbed, noob help please? What track is that? You made a guy in his 40's feel like a teenager watching that, the soundtrack went perfectly.
