There's probably no Stones tune better suited to the Black Crowes. This has always been one of my favorite songs off Exile. Surprised it's not more well known, or at lease spoken of in the same breath as the great Tumbling Dice or Sweet Virginia.

Well said folks - we're on the same page. Torn and Frayed, Loving Cup and Let it Loose are my personal highlights from Exile. Interestingly Magpie Salute covers Let it Loose very nicely (some good versions on KZbin). True, real, organic music never, ever goes out of style.

My second favourite song off Exile. The Stones never play this live as they said they could never get it right, so well down the Crowes. A great version.

It was never mick's favourite album because of that fact really, reckoned the album didn't have much on it that could've worked on the live shows.

You are right, stupid people (like yourself) are not bright enough to keep up. Many Crowes fans will figure out exactly what I am sayin. I knew when I wrote it, that some would be too young to get it. Obviously you would have needed to see both films and know the reviews. That's ok, those you have, will have a nice laugh.. Did you have to write what you did fredo? (As a Godfather lover, I must say "Fredo" is a perfect name for you!

I met Chris a few times backstage at New Earth Mud shows on the East Coast in (I believe 2003) when they were opening for the Mule and Chris was with Kate Hudson. I thought he was a huge prick but I’m a huge prick, too so it def could have been me. He has great taste in music and a sick vinyl collection!!
