As an event and music photographer, I welcome the AD100 to my kit :) Will add it beside my V1..Same batteries and same accessories. Perfect!

I bought this in December and used it on one shoot so far, another shoot next week, and it blew me away when I used it. It is so easy to use and even though it is just 100ws it is powerful enough for what I need it for. Also the fact it is so small makes it easier to carry for me as I am very partially sighted and need to pack as much into one bag when I am going on a shoot.

It was a really thorough yet simply put tutorial. I use a V1 with the kit and am really happy with it. One thing I like most other than the ease of use is the battery which never dies. I don't do flash photography much other than for filling up shadows so the battery would be there for weeks but when I take out to shoot it would be as fresh and powerful.

I just wish they were a little less expensive. These are the perfect form factor for my wedding reception lighting to replace my flashguns. Small, fits in a bag better than flashguns, TTL, HSS, slightly more powerful than flashguns, compatible with the reasonably prices AK-R1 accessories. The cost is what holds me back. The TT600's I have are so cheap that I am not upset when one is tipped over (it happens, guests, me, assistant that is rushing). a $AUD 400+ flash is going to make me cry when it smashes on the floor

I'm happy to a brand new video from you, I purchased the V1 last February after watching your very informative, and clear videos. Unfortunately due to the restrictions here in the U.K. i've not been able to get full use of the V1 on location shoots. however I will continue to use it, and I am very interested to adding 2 AD100Pro's to my kit, to enable me to have a light weight set up for location shoots. Once again, thank you for a very clear and informative video as always. I look forward to more of your videos. Stay well 🐻

Solid presentation as always. I agree Godox have come on in leaps and bounds. I work with a UK retailer named Pixapro in the UK. The kit get the job done and then some for my clients and I have enjoyed working closely with Pixapro and Godox over the last few year. The V1 or (GI01 from Pixapro) is great. Much cleaner light pattern compared to the traditional Fresnel speedlite. The 200 has been great, such a flexible light system in itself with multiple head options, remote heads and the dual bracket. FYI the dual bracket AD-B2 give you a 1/3rd stop more due to the reflective nature of the heatsink on it. I am curious about the 100Pro but not sure if it will fit in my kit. It will I am sure be great for wedding, event and commercial shooters. Don't focus on it's power instead focus on it's use case that the power will cover and the small spaces you can fit it both in your bag and on a set.

Thanks for sharing info on Godox AD100Pro. Very soon Godox might be able to offer AD200 in same architecture. That's my wild guess because of direct application of AK-R1 on all round head Like the AD100, AD300 & V1. If that happens our friends would be very happy as we would be able to use the same AK-R1 & S2 mounts on all of them with same comforts.

Good video.Very clean informations abot AD 100 Pro. I think that one important different V1, TT series between ADxxx series is V1 is dedicated camera brand. ADxxx series are just dedicated trigger. So if you change your camera brand your V1 and TT speedlights will be unusable. But if you have ADxxx series you just need new trigger. that looks simple and cheaper.

I do agree with you that I’d gladly pay more for build and reliability performance upgrade. Godox please step up and take the crown of being the Best Lighting in the photography world and displace Profoto! With an elite Line simply know as Professional an higher quality line over the Pro. I’d pay the premium if backed by additional support.. if indeed these products lived up to their expectations service costs to Godox would be mill.

You need to figure out what you need the gear to do for you and your clients etc. Don't follow the market or trends, what works for someone else might not do so for you. Which camera do you prefer using ergonomically and day to day. Which ever it is stick to that one.

Thank you so much for responding to my question Radha Krishnan sir. Actually sir the place I live is filled with complicated photographers. I'm from Sri Lanka, Batticaloa. Here most of the photographers switched to Sony. Most say that sticking to one brand is good but they often change the brand and create a myth among the clients that the camera they have is the best and others are using out dated 🤬. Because of this most of the clients asking for particular camera model for their shoot. This kind of unhealthy way is followed by the society where I live. But in my case I feel it's better to stick with one brand. Please sir please guide me 😥. What should I do ?. This is my work : facebook.com/2288386431183685/posts/3264282316927420/

Hi sir, will it be possible to over power sun outside? Should I go with AD300 or AD100 ?
@talesin134 жыл бұрын
For direct sunlight, you will need the AD600. The AD300 and AD200 work on very select cases.
@rickjbradbury4 жыл бұрын
No such thing as overpowering the sun it's a ridiculous term. How much power you will need to control ambient light will depend on 1. the image you have in mind 2. conditions you are working in. 3. the amount of ambient light you have to deal with 4. the distance light to subject 5 the modification of that light. I can underexpose a sunny day with a speedlite when it's not modified and really close to the subject but if I want a 5ft octa box 4 ft away and need F11 forget using a speedlite you will need more power.
@64viji4 жыл бұрын
@@rickjbradbury oh, thanks the explanation! I wanted to mean that I want to shoot in harsh sunlight, under exposing the ambiance and take a photograph. For that case will the ad100 be fine or should I go with more wattage. I really appreciate your input!!
