Hello Friend! This was the best review I saw about Godox! Thanks! I would like your professional opinion. I produce outdoor photo shoots with models and sometimes in small studios. Do I need to buy the AD600Pro? Or will the AD400Pro model already meet my needs? Thanks!
@PIXELVIILAGE4 жыл бұрын
Happy to hear that you liked the video. Since you are a professional, I will recommend the 600Pro. Two reasons 1. Since you are also shooting in daylight that additional Power will help. 2. Price difference is not much. Cheers... 👍

Actually, I find the opposite is true. So many YT channels go on and on about the gear and never go into the ideas, the whys behind photography. Even worse, they talk about all the functions of gear and never share their actual work, which often if you scratch beneath the surface really isn't all that good.

I am annoyed by most tutorials ! YOU ARE VERY RELAXING.INFORMATIVE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND! I go to India all the time and I loved hearing the honking-makes me miss India during covid! haha---For shooting skateboarders and models running and I love this hyper synch- Is the flash duration fast to catch details! I have an Elinchrome 72 in and Rotalux Octa and hope I can get adapter- Ive been deciding on Pro photo and Elinchrome and not happy with price- Mainly , light modifiers are SOOO expensive on pro! It seems this GODUX competes with those Pro photos at much cheaper price- OH another question- Is Bronocolor the only strobe (price of a house haha) that will shoot fast with no delays on full power? Thank you-oh PS- Ive heard that the FIRMWARE is only compatible with old WINDOWS computers? this is concerning as the communication with Camera and GO DUX is imperative

@PIXELVIILAGE6 жыл бұрын
Roberto Cienfuegos Thank you for the feed back. Previous generation light-meters are not capable of measuring HSS. They tend to give you one additional stop. Sekonic L-858 which we have used in for the test has the HSS feature. But since HSS is usually used outdoors along with TTL, you rarely need to physically read it! The camera does it for you. 😊 🙏

@rickjbradbury3 жыл бұрын
The 600 Pro reflector is far worse than the larger standard reflectors of old. It is more compact for storage and transport but at the cost of output. I currently have the AD600 and have been considering updating to the 600 and 400 pro units.

Your videos very good, but why can't you just use the Godox 200 and up the ISO two or three times (ISO 100 to 400 or 800)? And buying two 200's are only $600 instead of $1700+ for the two 600's. The new sensors are so much better than years ago. I could buy 6 of the 200's, and they have a unit to connect two together making them a single 400w unit. And the size of the Godox 200w units are a little larger than the Nikon SB-910's
@PIXELVIILAGE6 жыл бұрын
Craig Luchin Yes. AD200 is a fantastic product. I love them. But if you wish to use conventional light shaping tools, you need the AD600. 🙏 😊
@jimmyhill95916 жыл бұрын
Craig, it largely depends on what you need from the light. The AD600 & PRO will provide more flashes at the same power output as the AD200. For example, At 1/4 power the AD600PRO will provide 1400+ flashes. The AD200 at 3/4 power(producing roughly the same amount of light) will only provide 625 flashes. At times some may also need the full power of the AD600. Trying to cram 3 AD200's into a single modifier to get the same power would be an exercise in futility. There is also the matter of recycle time. An AD600PRO at 1/4 power will recycle almost instantly while the AD200 may take 1.5 seconds to recycle from a setting producing equal light output(the earlier mentioned 3/4 power). This of course goes back to the needs of the photographer. Someone shooting product photography likely wont worry about recycle times, while someone photographing dancers or other such action will. Lastly is High speed sync. Since HSS reduces the total effective output of the light, the AD600/PRO can provide more total power in HSS than the AD200. Personally, I use Flashpoint(Adorama re-branded Godox) speedlights when shooting headshots on location for the portability. In my home studio I use Flashpoint Studio300 monolights. I don't NEED the higher(300ws) power of the monolights, in fact I rarely use my speedlights above 1/2 power but at less than 1/8 power I can shoot all day with the Studio300's without taxing them. This is largely why I will be swapping out my speedlights for AD200's as my "on location" lights, they will need to work less to produce the same results.

I assume that you did not have the patience to watch till the end... :-(
@robertorivera20316 жыл бұрын
haha i did, but it makes it even worse, the color temp changes throughout the power range which is not the end of the world but not ideal, especially when its much more than the original. Slightly better CRI at lower power but insignificant when its already 97.x which is excellent to begin with in both units. Smaller battery also, Im just not seeing a compelling reason to upgrade here. Anywho, good info regardless, it just irked me that you said cri was much better than the previous when it was the exact same number.
