Thanks for the review!!! When using either any projection unit or spotlight it is definitely recommended to use heat insulation gloves when handling the iris control, gobo holder and gobos and the blades, same for touching the barrel of the projection unit as much there is plastic/rubber ends in some of the parts.

How far was that unit from the wall and what size of a window shape does that create?

Cool finally got something that looks / acts like a Leko. There are lots of companies that can cut you custom gobos.

Hey. Great vid! What do you make of this tip from Daniel Brockett at Digital Photo Pro when deciding between 19, 26 and 36 degrees? "The 36-degree Spotlight Mount throws the largest image circle of the three lenses available. Instead of shelling out an additional $500 to acquire the 26-degree and 19-degree lenses, I purchased the Spotlight Mount Iris for $99. This allows me to simply crop the largest 36-degree beam output to whatever size I need if I need a smaller pattern than the 36-degree lens can provide. The internal cutters on the Spotlight Mount provide you with a considerable degree of flexibility and control that until you’ve experienced it, you can’t imagine how precise it lets you be with controlling your light."

This is an interesting take! Thank you. I wonder what that does to the brightness overall

Hello, I need your advice because I can't find this information anywhere. Will the Godox SZ-150R lamp be compatible with this VSA-26K? please help

Question: i really want to use this spotlight but i am a strobist and am using AD400pro, so my question is, considering that spotlights improve the output of lights, just like a fresnel would, will it improve the FV150's weak LED Flash? Thank you. Your content has helped me to become a better Photographer. Nisan, Philippines

I was wondering if the gobos from nanlite projector would work on these godox vsa spotlight kits, since theyre both circular? I think the godox gobos are quite limited and hoping for more designs
@robhallphoto Жыл бұрын
This is why I shared the Gobo size, I don’t have other systems so you’d have to find out the gobo size of Nanlite to know if they’d be compatible.

Will the godox ad-b2 fit? I would think seeing how the ad200 bare bulb fits, but not sure if the flange distance is the same as the adapter used in the video.

@robhallphoto2 жыл бұрын
Well, I compared advantages to the old one. I don’t have / have never used the Westcott. And no the SA-P pieces are not compatible, as that’s a much smaller opening.
@Lucy-dk5cz2 жыл бұрын
@@robhallphoto I own the Westcott one cannot have an iris but if you want crisp circle you use the circle gobo not an iris. It can also support the AD600Pro as well as the QT mark 2 and mark 3 series

@@robhallphoto I wish these companies would consider the fact that if the initial design was flawed they would find some way of not soaking consumers a second time. No thanks Godox.
@raynaudier8622 Жыл бұрын
@@curtisclement The initial design was for the Godox S30 & S60; they're tiny, compared to the KnowLED 300 & 600, which are tiny compared to the MG1200Bi; the first projection attachment is sized appropriately for the tiny 30-watt S30 and small 60-watt S60, with much smaller physically 50mm, 85mm, & 135mm lenses; this is designed for the physically larger COB LED lights, up to 300 watts; the one for the 600-watt 600D/600Bi can handle twice as much heat, and the one for the huge 1200-watt KnowLED MG1200Bi has it's own fan, and is sized to be able to support that (enormous😅) light. Just my opinion, I think the same way that accessories for the AD600 strobe are too big for the AD200 strobe, same thing with the continuous lights. Aputure & Nanlite/Nanlux are the same way in large measure; the sizes of the different lights in the product line are so different. Just a few years ago (when the S30 came out), 1200-watt COB LEDs were just a dream, now the technology's evolved to allow for a 2400-watt COB LED (from Aputure, at the latest trade show).

So..... godox made it's own version of an LED Source 4 theatre light..... but as an adapter for a light you have to buy separately, that won't be as powerful as a Source4. I mean.... I guess it's cheaper...?
@JoelNeild2 жыл бұрын
Uh, this looks like a ridiculously large Leko light. For the price of the light source and attachments you can just buy an Altman 15-35 zoom LED Ellipsoidal light.
@SebastianBeckerPhoto2 жыл бұрын
There will never be a projection system for flash. Since this unit is for max. 300W it makes sense that the bigger flashes are not supported. Also with e.g. 600 Ws flash units you would burn a whole in your subject. It's also why you should never use a projection unit like this with a tungsten light. Basically the same effect as a magnifying glass in the sun.
