Hi I have an AD600BM, which worked perfectly with the X1T(S) for my sony camera. It works perfectly in HSS mode as well with the X1T(S). No need for any extra transmitter/receiver combo to make it work. They must have made a firmware upgrade to fix the compatibility.

Been observing a strange phenomenon. The Godox AD 600B (Firmware version 2.4) with Fuji X1T F communicates perfectly on Manual mode/HSS but strangely does not communicate in TTL mode. Meaning the manual tweaking (+- 0.3/0.7 s) on the transmitter does not change the reading on the flash. Does anyone observe this? The transmitter is updated to the latest version 3. and the flash is on ver. 2.4. If I read right, the FECs for TTL are independent values and can be controlled either from the camera/trigger or the flash itself. A change to either two simultaneously would add up as a sum of the adjustments and not stand as individual tweaks. For example, if I change +1 on the trigger and it accentuates to another +1 on the flash through wireless the total would add up to 2 stops. I could be wrong. Kindly explain, if anyone has the right answer.

It is not correct at @6:13 that it is not for Sony. It works perfectly with Sony. By first trigger S appears at the screen

BD correct, it dose support Sony.

Awesome video. is the Godox AD600 BM 10w modeling lamp bright enough for studio/indoor photography. Havent seen a video of the 10w modeling lamp in use

The modelling light suffers from being behind the flash tube so the tube obscures some if the light and casts it's own shadow. Not that useful for modelling in my opinion

Hello Graham what's the difference between the Ad600BM to Ad600B? And which do you think is more powerfull Ad600B or Nikon Speedlight Sb5000?? Thanks
@d00mPatr0I7 жыл бұрын
Shem Maunes BM doesn’t have TTL. AD600 is much more powerful than the Nikon.

It's curious you stress "amateur" as the default user base of these strobes. I've got an Elinchrom - and must admit in many ways it appears quite amateur itself - everything from the cables for manually connecting SkyPorts (unlike the much higher quality cables that come with the Godox receivers), the flimsy, cheap plastic quality of Quadra units and adapters, the sharp-edged, exuding cheap quality modifier mounts and so forth. I'm positive, the Godox is better (despite what one would infer based solely on the country of their design and manufacture) than the more expensive established Swiss Elinchrom. Sure, Godox is no ProFoto with their spectacularly good designs, Broncolor with their noteworthy colour accuracy or maybe even Hensel, but they appear to be damn good and in some ways surpass even ProFoto's best, though lose in other ways).

Stay tuned. Flashpoint just announced the new Explor 600 Pro today. $899 and it promises consistent color, much faster recycling (under 1 second at full power and a beefed up modeling light among other things. The mount has been redesigned also, getting rid of the detents.

From the other reviews I've read, this is anything but amateur.

People keep banging on about modelling light, and you said professional monolights have a tungsten bulb. Not sure what did you expect from a battery powered flash? Tungsten light?
@saffronfalcon6 жыл бұрын
That too on a battery powered strobe. Give them a 100watt led and then they will cry about how quickly it drains the battery!
