I have the AD 360 - it is more handy than the AD300, and then the Godox V850 II I can carry everywhere, I got so great shots because of the V850 (I never use TTL, for what is TTL good? I want to be in control.) For instance a Gorilla in the Zoo or a helmsman on a longtail boat ... Without that flashlight? Lighting is the most important thing...

Really lovely portraiture work Sarah. You are a light shaping master! Curious, when using the gel on the AD200 and bouncing off of the white wall, how were you mounting the gel and light? Were you using the fresnel head? Thanks in advance!
@sarahedmunds3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael thank you! Sorry to take so long to reply, I only just saw this. I put a blue gel inside a small standard reflector, it's a round frosted gel that fits in the round outer part. It wasn't the fresnel head, it was the bare bulb inside the standard reflector. You can see it on the windowsill at 1.57.

I’ve bought an AD300pro together with a XPro-O transmitter for my Panasonic S5 camera and I must say I’m pretty happy with them! But what I have noticed is that when the XPro-O is ON on my S5, the shortest exposure time I can set on my camera (without HSS) is 1/200 whereas the native synchronization time of the camera is 1/250. Another bug is that I can’t set 1/256 of the power using the XPro-O; only down to 1/128 ! That’s really a shame that a Pro Godox transmitter restricts the flexibility of a Godox Pro flash! I wrote about my experience and detected bugs to Godox support but got no response, unfortunately!… By the way, the US version of the transmitter (the Flashpoint R2) seems to have no such problems; at least the exposure time of 1/250 is settable!…

Hi! I can answer this. If you watch the live shoot in the KZbin link you can see the whole shoot from start to finish, and as I mention in the Godox video I do add an ad200 to one shot (you can see a little bit of light on the hair providing separation). Otherwise almost all the photos are with one light.

Issue with the AD300 is if you don’t want to use Godox modifiers then you need an S bracket which counteracts its portability and weight benefits.
@sarahedmunds3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucy, thing is, that softbox is incredible. It pops open in a second and slots on so easily, and folds down like an umbrella and packs away. Light, fast, easy and great quality. Totally worth getting imho. I haven’t found anything superior or better value.
