Rebuke and correct. Interesting words, which I would normally find as a Christian in church. Though what I've come to realize is that as Christians, some find it hard to repent. Repentance goes a long way with many misunderstandings. "My understanding, stand to be corrected" Repentance it is when one is no longer attached to the sin committed and the for one has repentanted. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. It's for Christians to pray for sinners to be dettached from sin. Any one can be attached to not aiming high in this challenging times. Dettach from sin. Attach to aim!

Great conversation. On the issue of initiation schools among the Xhosa Christians, my take is that as long as they don't eat food offered to the idols and consume blood. This is according to the Book Acts 15:28-29. On the issue of choice, the Bible clearly mentions that all things are permissable, but not all things are beneficial. God also says He has presented with life and death, and He says 'choose life'. Sihle is very wise, great conversation once again ❤❤

We need more conversations like this, especially with our children. The future is looking very scary with the coming generation. Values , morals, self love, basic wisdom seem to have been thrown out the window for the majority. We need to seriously educate our youth, perhaps too much freedom is a problem and dictatorship is the way to go in order to save our people.

When we talk about masculinity, we need to distinguish between toxic masculinity vs. positive masculinity.
@mpumimdluli58944 күн бұрын
So, human beings are capable of doing horrible things to each other whether male or female but as society we've made these term "toxic masculinity" and ignored "toxic femininity" as if women are the are the holly species and man are the only ones who do horrible things. So inasmuch as we talk about toxic masculinity we need to also talk about toxic femininity whereby women intentionally do things that provokes man using their beauty and then play victim when man are reacting.......

Penuel the Black Pen deserves credit for sparking deep, esoteric conversations and challenging conventional thought. His approach inspires us to think critically about our power and place in the world. S/o for pushing the boundaries of philosophy and encouraging others to recognize the godlike potential within themselves. Psalm 82:6 (KJV) "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." Romans 12:2 (KJV) "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

You platform promotes freedom of intellectual conversations on controversial issues and this is exemplary to that fact. Sihle needs some assistance in scripture referencing her points to improve her apologetics. I would love to be part of next conversation to further elaborate on Christology in relation to "theology" and culture. As for gender identity; cultural norms differ depending on a particular society. In fact Jesus wore a dress and Zulu male traditional clothing is what would be considered a skirt in the contemporary world. Much to discuss. Great rekevant conversation.

In actuality, we do have a Christian church that is very similar to Islam in South Africa. The women are submissive, men are usually polygamists as well. The respect of self and others is held at a high regard. Although it leans more to Africanism, it is very much a Christian church. It is called the Nazareth Baptist Church, better known as kwaShembe. As Penuel had already mentioned, Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all Abrahamic religions. It is no surprise that there are many similarities among them. The only difference is that some still hold their values, unapologetically.

Mr Penuel let me say this when we look at genesis verse one it say God created.... but in the companion Bible it says alohim which is a plural that means God's and that get when you ģo to the verse where God created man, it say come let us creat men in our image, ask yourself who is calling, that means he or she was not alone.secondly it shows that moselem chose in a number of gods and chose ALLA as their God as much as other religions chose their gods, because each religion say their God is the only one. And remember religion is about numbers and power just like politics. If you can go back and research that how the religion was instilled to black people you be shocked and you will never defend it.thank your

Sphesihle has a beautiful mindset, the type of mindset I teach my daughters, to question things, be knowledgeable and God fearing. She is a great asset to our nation and should 1 day consider getting into the leadership of this country via parliament or goverment. Just a correction Penuel, Christianity we are not following a person in Jesus Christ's. We are following His teaching which are God inspired. Who is God in this instance, the Triune God (God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ and God Holy Spirit) So Jesus Christ is God, who took the nature of man, to redeem us from our fall. When he lived here in planet earth, He lived as God-man. He is the only one out of all religious formations who died and rose again. There is no other.

There is no polygamy in Othordox Christianity either. Believing in Jesus is not the issue, it's about believing who he said he was. The claims he made about God and Himself. Muhammad had a very questionable character and morals, I dont think you would want to follow him in this time and day.

Hey Pen, thanks for your very interesting insight on the different levels that each group lies in , but I would like to disagree with your point at 1:28:56 , we can easily get carried away and think Caucasians(whites) are not innovative , but they are very very innovate , from creating tech products like the Internet, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook etc.., the list goes on, to automobile engineering (German car brands, popular British and Italian cars brands) I think white people come up with "most" innovations , and the rest of world create products that either copy or compete with those innovations. That was an interesting take though on the question of how we are at the bottom of the food chain.

Allah is Arabic and Eloah is Hebrew which is now commonly known as Elohim within Christianity, Which is a Diety. God comes from the Latin root word "Deus", Which means he who shines in the Firmament. NgesiZulu means yena "Oqhakaza Emkhathini", Umkhathi or Firmament is a Spiritual Realm or Heavenly Realm, so God basically means "He who shines above all in the Spiritual Realm". Which is alsa a basic Translation to "Our Father who Art in Heaven", Meaning the Head of the "Spiritual Realm".

Just to correct you Pen. Abraham was not the first Jew, the title of being a Jew is connected to Jacob who was also known as Israel. To add onto that, Muslims believe in the same God as Christians and Jews, the difference is that just like Judaism, Islam considers creating partners with God as the most unforgivable sin. Muslims believe in one God and pray directly to him and no one else. And also Muslims believe in the holy scriptures that were revealed to previous messengers such as the Zubur(Psalms) given to Prophet Dawud(David) PBUH, the Towrah(Old Testament) which was given to Prophet Musa(Moses) PBUH, the injeel(parts of the new testament) given to the messiah Isa(Jesus) and finally the revelation given to the prophet Muhammad PBUH in the Quran. The prophet Muhammad PBUH, did not bring about a new religion rather he was bringing a message to bring people back to worshiping God and God alone as Christian had diverted from Jesus’ PBUH teachings.
