Even in death Ned is still saving lives

Godric is such an interesting character our only mirror into the lives of the Sistermen during the times of the books, a pragmatic ruler from a people that once were pirate kings and now struggle with poverty smuggling their main source of income. Tis a shame we don't know what's up nowadays with the Longthorpes or the Torrents of Littlesister, many a badass is hiding in the Sisters I'm sure of that.

This is one my favourite speeches from ASOIAF, for two reasons: 1). It a perfectly example of a pragmatic approach to politics. Lord Borrell wants to keep his people out of the war. The best way is to do that is to do nothing, and pick no side. But do it in such a way that you have the insurance of plausible deniability should either side question your loyalty. 2). It presents a 3rd possibility for Jon Snow's lineage. If you're not fully convinced that R+L = J, here is a nice little theory for you to consider. It has added weight because Lord Borrell has no incentive to lie. But ever cautious, Borrell gives no opinion about whether or not it is true.

I belive the 'fisherman's' daughter was actually Ashara Dayne. I think Ned and Ashara were travelling to riverrun together but once they got as far as the crossroads and heard about Brandon's reaction to hearing about Lyanna Ned turned back and took Ashars under his protection amd lied about her identity to keep her safe.

Great choice. Every Davos chapter in ADWD is a banger.

Great Conversation between him and Davos. Love these books. Thank you for making all of these videos. Also, I mean no disrespect, but the audio on the Littlefinger "Players and Pieces" speech is a little quiet or grainy if those are the right words. Its a great video regardless but not as clear as others.
