@@ahmetrefikeryilmaz4432 You have to thank the writers for those decisions, and even the visuals for vampire death never really standardized. It's pretty hard to use the term "canon" when talking about any part of the series, since things were pretty freely adapted and changed from the books as the show went on.

This scene is undoubtedly one of the more beautiful and impactful ones of the series, and the same qualities can be attributed to Godric's character. Even though this scene is beautiful in a sense, it is also very sad to me because I wish that Godric stayed around more he was probably one of the most interesting characters on this entire show.

I’m re watching the whole series and I just saw the first Godric scene when Eric is dying after battle. He was such a ruthless badass, before he made his appearance at the church I thought he would be a lot different. Imagine how wise and knowledgeable you would be after 2,000 years. I wish he had never left the series.

Evoke knows Goodric’s character is a Jesus symbolic character right? He wanted to sacrifice himself for the vampires, he wanted peace between humans and them. He wanted things to change and he was 2,000 years old.

If I remember correctly it was basically because he felt like he had lived long enough, this was before Russel Edgington and especially Warlow were introduced before that Godric was the oldest vampire we had witnessed on the series at 2000 years old.
