I'm not familiar with the Kpop scene, but NewJeans did a very good job in this song. The music composition had the usual EPIC-NESS in a Worlds Song that last year's song didn't have. For the visual, as someone who enjoys the league music production and looks forward to their creative projects every year. I was a bit underwhelmed that they weren't able to incorporate more unique sequences other than the classic " fight your way to the top ". However, as a fan of the WORLDS story-line. This kind of visual is acceptable because Deft exceeded expectations and twisted fate to win a worlds game that had his RETIREMENT looming at his shoulders depending on the outcome which he shattered and won with GOD-LIKE performances throughout the stages.

So this is the story of the video: Deft (the main character in the video) is an ADC who had always struggled trying to win Worlds. He went to the same high school as Faker (who you can see in the opening scene at the school) and viewed him as a rival of sorts. Imagine watching your high school classmate become the greatest league player of all time while you're struggling to even make the Worlds tournament. We see Deft's defeats throughout the seasons, including one with his former teammate support Keria (who dies as Braum in the video). He gets wrecked by He tries again and again to eventually reach the Worlds Finals in 2022, where he has to overcome his lifelong obstacle, Faker. He even goes up against his former teammate Keria in the finals, making things even more poetic. You can see Deft playing Caitlyn towards the end of the video, which is the champion he played in the deciding match which he won. Simply poetic.

The video follows Deft's journey through his career. Here's context: So Deft started back in 2013 along side with Faker who was much better than Deft. As seen with Deft taking down blue buff who Faker always 1 step ahead of Deft by taking Down Baron. In 2014 he got his first big break for success. He made it to the semifinals where he would then fall to his sister team in Samsung White. (As seen in the desert fight.) In the follow year he left his home country of Korea to join EDG who was located in China. He would then fall in quarterfinals with his teammate Meiko (a chinese player) to a European team in Rekkles who was also young in his career. Deft would then sit back and get barraged by random attacks which is a reference to the same thing every year. Then it cuts to the 2020 Run with his two other teammates in Doran and Keria. He would then fall again in Quarterfinals with Doran and Keria both leaving teams (Deft also left the team for a year). Deft later returned to DRX (the 2020 team) for his final year (Cause he said at the time, he was going to do his mandatory military service in which a graduate male Korean student is forced to do. Deft did graduate on the side while playing the game competitively.). His 2022 run was his last dance on a team that struggled domestically. But barely qualifying for the Worlds as the worse team from Korea. Deft and his team had to go through so many champions of regions (Europe Champions, Korea's Champions, Winners Tournament aka MSI Champions, Vietnam Champions, Defending World Cup Champions, the perfect season champions.) Then Deft and his 4 other teammates had to go through the defending Worlds Champions in the first round who is none other than his old team EDG with Meiko. Then had to go through Korea's Champions who had 2 of Deft old Teammates in Doran and Chovy (Chovy was also on DRX in 2020). And finally his ex teammate he had to take down is Keria. But Keria was with the same guy at the start of the video. The same guy Deft went to school with, Faker. 10 years after both walking difference paths with Faker always being better than Deft. And Deft making the miracle run for the ages. Deft then complete his last dance as he took down the same kid who was better than him 10 years ago.
