The first time I saw Shannon play was when he was in wrathchild America opening for Testament and was immediately blown away by his playing,stood out in his band.then a few years later my band would open for souls at zero and I got to meet the man and was not disappointed,cool as fuck man....Godsmack couldn't have found a better drummer and he deserves it....

LOVE Shannon, I happen to think he is VERY underrated in the whole Rock/alternative game AND the most gifted member of the band.... Most of all he is SUPER HUMBLE which is always attractive in my opinion!

I would say he and Sully are almost matched on drums regarding skill and technique. Sully however is an Extremely Talented multi-instrumentalist . He can play piano, guitar, drums, percussion, writes lyrics, sings, and is also in charge of everything in the band.

I'm telling you...I've seen Godsmack live more than 10 times and NOTHING is more awesome then seeing Shannon get into a groove. The "Swin Thing", his hard lean to his right, etc. He has like 3-4 signature moves that just never get old! Long Live DA SMACK!

Shannon is one of the best drummers I have ever heard or SEEN! This dude put on a visual show while drumming that is so cool and makes me smile constantly. His rhythm is metronome quality. MAN, this guy is incredible! I’ve been following his talent since UKJ’s first album with him in 95’ (Menace to Sobriety).

That is literally the first time I have ever seen a drummer flip the stick with one hand, switch hands of the stick he is hold to now be in the vacated hand, and catch the tossed stick with the newly-vacated hand. Shannon, in my opinion, is by far one of the most underrated drummers in all of Rock and Roll. I was a big fan of his back in his Wrathchild America days.

I loved story ,when Sully and Shannon, were jumping to swimming pool from the roof at 4:00.And neighbors, were calling cops. I have neighbors Cole , like that. I grew up on Neil and thought - there will never be anything like him. But Shannon has a totally different style - but every bit as much brilliance. They're both just amazing to watch. RIP Neil. But I love Shannon and will follow anything he does. (nothing away from Sully, same goes, I will follow what he does, great guy in person too)
