Oracle is easily my favorite. I’m not very old, I’m 19 but I grew up with this album. There have been countless times where we would listen to the album from start to finish. It’s that amazing to me. I love how heavy the album is and I will always hold this album close to me. People can say what they want but this album plays a big part in my nostalgia from a kid.

It always surprises me to hear bands are hated on , but Godsmack really? One of my favorite modern day rock/metal. I think you nailed the rankings. Top 3 albums are all classics as far as I’m concerned. I’m a huge fan of when legends rise. Album ends real strong like you were saying, but say my name is a bad ass song as well. Faceless is to me the hardest album overall but that’s splitting hairs. Loved your ranking and passion for a great band. PS what they did with the RI middle school for unforgettable is also really cool shit!

My reaction back in the day was the same but I really have grown to love When Legends Rise as an album! Got to hear the band live when they finally toured my country in 2019. After 15 years of loving them it was the greatest concert of my life yet! They had such energy even though it was a smaller venue!

Just now figuring out that you did a video like this. I was really into Awake. The song sick of life slaps. Their first two or three albums were pretty good. I think they lost me 1000hp. The Oracle had some nice guitar work on it, being thst I’m a guitarist myself I could appreciate it. I kind of dug godsmack 4 as well. And I know it isn’t a main album, but the other side is some good acoustic work. Running blind is a great song. When legends rise just isn’t for me. I’ll take it over anything by nickelback, and it does have a couple songs I do kind of like. But I’m glad I found this video by you. I’m normally a heavy metal guy but I listened to godsmack before I discovered heavier metal, so I have a soft spot in my heart for their first few records and I own them on CD. It takes balls to talk about music online especially rock and metal because of how stuck up some people are.

"Under Your Scars" is low-key really cute and like a love letter. I really like the route they took on "When Legends Rise". I enjoy when rock and metal bands test their limits, going romantic or depressing like A7X's Nightmare and "Dive In/Bedless" by Pierce The Veil. And I'ma be honest that many songs people put out aren't great, it'll be one out of like twelve songs apart of an album that are badass, loud and can be enoyable for everyone. Unlike others, that album they just really go a route of music I can also get behind. I'm very diverse so I appreciated the transition.

@justwatchesvideos
@justwatchesvideos 4 жыл бұрын
Nice ranking! Only disagreement I have is 100hp being above The Oracle. I felt that The Oracle had a better selection of songs on it, Though both are good. Anyway, Here's mine: 7. IV | This isn't very surprising, To me this album comes off as incredibly generic and it lacks a lot of the punch the first three had. The best tracks here are Voodoo Too and Speak (Although I've admittedly gotten pretty sick of it), The Enemy is decent also but it's not as good as those two. Overall I could do without this album. It's different, But it doesn't do much that works for me. 6. 1000hp | This one is pretty standard. The only track I love here is Nothing Comes Easy, The title track is good, Albeit a bit simplistic, I Don't Belong and What's Next are also good. But the rest is just decent IMO. It's almost interchangeable with When Legends Rise for me. 5. When Legends Rise | Like I said with 1000hp, This one is also pretty standard. In that it's a radio album that doesn't try anything special. My favorite tracks here are the title track, Under Your Scars, Take It To The Edge, Say My Name, and Bulletproof. The rest are solid as well, But nothing that stands out in my eyes. It plays it a bit too safe, But in this case I wouldn't say it's a bad thing. 4. The Oracle | To put it simply, I think the great songs on this album far surpass anything on the albums listed below. Saints and Sinners, Good Day To Die, and L-H-S-P are all fantastic tracks. Cryin' like a B and Forever Shamed are good too. And the rest are decent as well. Not quite an album I'd listen to all the way through. But I find myself coming back to more tracks from it compared to the others. Especially Saints and Sinners, That track is amazing. 3. Faceless | If you asked me what my favorite was a year ago, I would have said Faceless. And even still... Nothing has really changed with it for me. I loved it the first time I heard it, Most of the tracks here are fantastic. Standouts for me are Changes, Make Me Believe, Faceless, Re-Align, I Am, Straight out of Line, And of course... I Stand Alone. What puts this album here though is I just find Awake and the self titled to have better tracks. They have significantly grown on me since the first time I've listened to them. Still a fantastic album though 2. Self Titled | This one really grew on me overtime, At first I found it pretty standard. Now however I absolutely love it. Keep Away has always been my favorite Godsmack track, But the rest of the tracks besides Whatever and Voodoo didn't do anything for me... Until now. Just going track by track: Moon Baby is fantastic, LOVE that end section. Whatever is a little overplayed for me tbh, But it's still good. Keep Away is self explanatory. Time Bomb has so much energy to it. Bad Religion lyrically is pretty weak, But that breakdown section is pretty great. Immune is super underrated, The riffs on that song are extremely enjoyable, Easily in my top three favorites. Get Up, Get Out is another great track. Now or Never has one of my all time favorite riffs, The energy in that track is just unbeatable. Stress is also really underrated, Really like the middle section where the song mellows out. Situation is pretty much Trippin' and Spiral before they existed, Which means it's automatically great. Yeah... I can go on and on about why I love this album, But I think it's time to move on to the best one. 1. Awake | Like with the self titled, This one also grew on me overtime. Granted I liked more tracks off of it than I did the self titled. But fast forward a year later... And it is easily my favorite album of theirs. It's much stronger than the self titled lyrically, And I like the vibe of it a whole lot more. Going track by track: Sick of Life is my least favorite here due to overplay, But it's still good. Awake is an undeniable classic. Greed is also great. Bad Magick is my second favorite song of theirs period, The "Gettin' back on track" section is way too good for it's own right, I can't get enough of it. Goin' Down is pretty underrated, Another great track. Mistakes also has one of my all time favorite riffs, Not to mention the ending breakdown is also fantastic. Trippin' has another one of my favorite riffs, Along with one of my favorite choruses, The overall feel of that song is just so good. Forgive Me is also underrated, The chorus on that one is pretty great. Vampires is a great instrumental. And the closer Spiral is just... It's just amazing. So yeah, Awake is not only my favorite Godsmack album, It's one of my favorite albums period. The raw power of that album is unmatched.

Fantastic list! Like you I dislike no album! 7)iv 6)1000 horse power 5)the oracle (tough cause I really like this and 1000 hp but something has to go in these spots) 4)when legends rise (yup its more radio friendly and generic but catchy as fuck) 3)faceless (when this came out I thought it was a step above awake but for me awake held up more over time) 2)awake 1)godsmack (my first album,I think that plays a big part in these lists!!!)
