this album was released right when my friend passed, that opening bit, when Sophie comes in on the violin always makes me tear up a little bit.

The climactic moment of Anthem For No State is the summation of GYBE's work so far. It's fantastically beautiful, tragic, powerful, and energizing. Thank you, Godspeed.

The Anthem For No State part 1 is different here-longer with more aggresion added. Both versions are great of course. Anything they do is great and Unique

What an incredible piece! And great recording quality too. This definitely looks to be another epic in the making. Sophie's playing on this is really beautiful and the climax is so powerful. I can't wait for them to record this. Godspeed! is one of those bands that is completely immune to corruption from commercial interests; instead they just keep playing groundbreaking music that's on a different level than what everyone else is doing.

well said...can't find any drone, postrock, ambient music comparable to GBYE.....any suggestions?Came of age during 80's postpunk sound of husker du and replacemants...only in to this now...maybe someone will care somewhere, somehow but I doubt it......posting messages seems like a desperate need for attention...formless and lifeless

Cette chanson est brillante. Cela fait plaisir de voir que Gybe revient enfin vers des morceaux plus calme et structurée. Le show en entier etait fantastique.

13:12 - Toloache (Also the number representation of the "phrase" "ACAB"..) Nifty little numerology fucking Insanity, there out of sheer coincidence.. (I've seen the movies "Pi" amd "A Beautiful Mind", enough times, to Know where such Insane thinking patterns take a person.. but, having said that, Toloache would do something like that, just to Fuck with humans.. (I'm referring to the supposed female spirit of Datura inoxia.. Don't eat that shit, it will drive you fucking Insane.)
