Listening to Godspeed defines me as a person. Something I wouldn't say about any other band.

Piss Crowns Are Trebled is one of the more eloquently written yet disastrous compositions in this video. The discordant relationship between the violins and the electric guitar gives me chills every time.

I've found about them at first when I was like 20 or so. "Sleep" was so weird at first, all those "screams". But suddenly it became mindblowing. Then for the last 5 years I haven´t listened to them at all. Now im 30 and decided to take a look at their new album. I literally been listening to them again on my smartphone/car/work for the last 2 months. It seems im a even "better listener". Providence, Sleep, Rockets fall on rockets falls, Storm, Redeemer Part 1, Moya, Antennas to Heaven are my favorite ones.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't find this until just now. This might be the best thing I've ever seen on KZbin. This album has never rated among my very favorites of theirs, but it's absolutely revelatory played live, and in this quality, just incredible! I've seen them a few times now, and their music got me through pandemic, divorce and death in the past few years. I would have loved to be at this show, but I can make do with just watching this over and over.

Godspeed is a band that has moved me deeply since I was 17 years old. I am now 25 and I have been faithfully listening to them since I first learned of them. This a band that I hold in the highest regard because they transcend time and space for me. This music is incredibly powerful and resonates every cell in my body.

Very Avant Garde type of music. Not for everybody. I also thought it wasn't for me, but after a few listenings you really get them. The Pink Floyd of the new millennium.
@Mangoat28 жыл бұрын
Pink Floyd is accessible as fuck, I don't know why people consider them to be so experimental and different.
@drunkdave56778 жыл бұрын
Da' Rito , I don't know what you're talking about. Pink Floyd is four psychopaths on LSD inventing music as they go. GS!BE are also making shit up as they go. Whether they are psycho or on drugs or whatever, they are as innovative as Pink Floyd and maybe more so.
@Mangoat28 жыл бұрын
Drunk Dave Okay? well it's all good shit so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@brandonreimers85936 жыл бұрын
Have you never listened to early Floyd? I'd assume not, because nothing about their albums up until obscured by clouds is accessible and it's all very experimental. I'd argue that most of their albums until Waters left were pretty unaccessible to the layman, minus the radio hits. Butttt.... okay

Going to see them this Thursday in Mtl. I lived throughout the Pink Floyd era, and I would say these guys are right up there with them, sans the songs. The Mtl. original music scene has been one of the most innovative anywhere. These guys are the most visible, but there are more e.g. Shalabi Effect. Just look at the list of outfits the GS!BE members have done as side projects or collaborations and that is but a taste.
