Regarding going through a difficult painful time and the distinction between happiness and joy. This is what I've learned: the Holy Trinity, all the angels and saints in Heaven are a source of joy to me regardless of the circumstances of my life. For example, if a person deals with chronic physical pain, they can still have joy even if their circumstances aren't the source of happiness. Also, happiness seems to be transitory and connected to my circumstances and joy is always available. :) I really enjoy your podcast. God bless you and all who make the podcast possible.

I wanna be friends with Fr. Briscoe and Fr. Bonaventure. Fr. Briscoe has a calming effect, I think he makes a great spiritual director. And Fr. Bonaventure is simply hilarious, he brings out the joy of the Lord in you 😂 He also quite often says very thought-provoking things 🤯
