With the latest Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire coming soon, we wanted to catch up on any Kong movies we have missed to watch throughout the years, with Achara and Kristen continuing with Godzilla (2014), starring Aaron- Taylor Johnson (Kraven, Bullet Train, Tenet) as Ford Brody, a US Navy officer who returns home to San Fransisco from tour to his wife Elle, played by Elizabeth Olsen (Love & Death, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision) and their son, only to be whisked away to Japan after his father, Joe, played by Bryan Cranston (Kung Fu Panda 4, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) is arrested while uncovering a conspiracy involving ancient and legendary beings that threaten our world.

The Toho Godzilla differ from the legendary Godzilla. In the touhou era Godzilla was a creation of mankind's testing with radiation. The legendary Godzilla is a ancient species before man. Godzilla evolve in almost every movie so him moving faster and later film installments isn't that strange. Godzilla evolved to move faster or get bigger to combat new enemies.

You only wish Bryan Cranston was in the movie more because he's Bryan Cranston but his character serve no purpose to the story. He wasn't an expert in the muto biology like the monarch team and Brody senior was not part of the government that followed the monsters around from the human human point of view.

Godzilla 2014 is my favourite.Gareth Edwards portrayed everything perfectly. The unknown enemy,human connection,the chaos when something like this happens and the sheer arrogance of man thinking that they can kill Godzilla etc.And also this movie is no nonsense,no woke crap and unnecessary forced funny scenes.
