There is a new Monsterverse film in development, and it will be Godzilla x Kong 3. The film will be a Godzilla centered story, and the plot will be heavily influenced by Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. That ground work could be having the Monsters be more of a focus with story still being told with less human aspect. The money this movie pulled shows most people want more focus on the monsters. The scale of the Monsters is shown in every movie, 2014 did a great job of showing it but they focused to much on boring who no one cared for and didn't show Godzilla nearly enough. I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. And the fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who can rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, same with her meeting other members of her tribe. Also, I not only love the "Aw, shut up" punch on the ape annoyingly running his mouth a few seconds before Kong met Skar King, but the part where Kong lobs a rock and creams the one ape in the head. Fun fact: Dan Stevens also played The Beast in the remake of Beauty And The Beast.

The 10th Anniversary of The MonsterVerse. These iconic titans together have given us nothing but goodness. Kong for 90 years, Godzilla for 70 years and being part of this has been so entertaining. Movie No. 5, GxK is amazingly good. I saw it IMAX 3D with a packed house, opening weekend. The science, history, culture of this universe is vast. Some people go to watch these movies for the battles, but the background of such things are interesting to me and because everything has a reason to exist. The human characters are important (they are). Subtle connections from us to these beasts and beyond aren't just because of the same world, different levels. These Titans are the showstoppers, established or newly introduced, ally or threat. Loved the homages to the classic films with Godzilla's newer colors (Godzilla 2000 from 1999) and Kong's Powerhouse mechanism harnessing energy (King Kong vs. Godzilla from 1962). As for the battles, they are beyond incredible with the effects and Mo Cap, savage yet articulated. After all the hype and success of this film, you gotta wonder what could happen next? So much more they can pull from the classics to add in for this universe. Either way, we want more.

I love the call backs to the Showa Era Godzilla films in this movie. 1. The Iwi not only being the Skull Island people, but those who worshipped Mothra, like the shobajin in Mothra (1961) and Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964) 2. The call back with Bernie talking about the Gargantua Insurance Company is a call back reference to the 1966 film, "War of the Gargantuas" 3. The Hollow Earth is a stand in for Monster Island from Destroy All Monsters and Son of Godzilla 4. And the call backs to movies like Godzilla vs. Megalon with the war of the surface people and the people of seatopia for easter eggs.

Some of the Great Apes have individual names: according to TV Tropes, according to the novel, the one with the blind right eye 👁 (and Skar King's main enforcer) is fittingly called "One-Eye" and is apparently one of Skar King's many children alongside Suko and other infants 🤔😓. The one that Kong tries to save from falling off the cliff but ends up having to kick him off the cliff for real in self-defense because he was a sorry little ingrate who still attempted to kill Kong after he had just saved his life 😠😡🙄😒🤨, his name was Stone Fist 👊 ✊️ 🤛 🤜. Another one of the initial attackers along with One-Eye and Stone Fist was called Catcher. Another one of Skar King's goons, the one crushed by Kong's giant swinging stone trap was apparently called Knob. The ape who was Suko's caretaker whom Skar King brutally murdered in front of Suko and Kong, his name was Gnarled Finger, and while "friend" might be going a bit far, the novelization reveals that, prior to meeting Kong, Gnarled Finger was the only Great Ape to treat Suko with any measure of kindness by letting him eat the scraps of his meals and shielding 🛡 him from being attacked by the other apes 🥺😣😔. And the Great Ape slave that Kong helps up and beats up the bully that was abusing him, while not named in the movie, was named "Boots" by the movie's vfx animators 🤔😉.

To add to your comment about seeing it in theaters, I saw it on opening night in IMAX with my dad and it was absolutely phenomenal as well as being very immersive plus we bought the tickets a month in advance so we couldn't wait to see it.. You felt like you were next to these creatures whenever they roared and could feel the sounds of them reverberating through your body. Not to mention the roar that Scar king made when announcing himself to everyone after kong punched that lieutenant gave me literal chills. I saw this film 4 times in theaters and it never got old.

It makes me laugh at how much Godzilla hates Kong (despite Kong giving him nothing but kindness & understanding). I love how, at the end, Kong gives Godzilla this smirk of, “Thanks for the help, chum”. While Godzilla just stares at him like, “If it wasn’t for Mothra, I’d have left you for dead with a smile on my face. I had to beat on 3 women today (Scylla, Tiamat, Shimu), and being associated with you has been my lowest moment today” I love both characters, but it’s funny how only one of them likes the other. Godzilla just actively doesn’t want to be around Kong

Why Godzilla attacked Kong in Egypt because Kong broke their agreement to stay neutral. Kong was supposed to remain in Hollow Earth and not return to the surface, but he showed up in Egypt, prompting Godzilla to attack him for violating their truce.

Actually, the bit of sea Godzilla jumped into was the Strait of Gibraltar which is nearly a kilometre deep, so he should have been fine and wouldn't have bonked his head on the bottom of the pool.

As someone else put it, the Military (In the US at least) is one of the biggest expenses for the national budget. Even if the old stuff didn't work, maybe this time it will. And if not, maybe the next time. And, to be honest, every plane destroyed by Godzilla is inventory space for a newer, high tech plane. So, its kinda a Win-Win situation.

2:25 Since 2021 or so my mother, sister and I have been doing a different family tradition, go to a new Movie and Eat Out instead of cooking for 35+ hrs for 12+ people...we only have 4 people, including a pitty that thinks he's a human and thinks he's king of the house but all it take is Treats, Love or Playtime that gets him listening to whatever you want. He's a typical dog, they are exactly how their owners are. If a Dog is violent it's most likely the owner is violent with the dog addition to whoever they are around.

As a Godzilla fan Kong redeemed himself in this movie also he isn’t old he’s at his peak, he’s a silverback in this film which means he is at his best. Also Godzilla was the mvp of this movie he took shit to a whole new level Couple things though 1) Shimo is a She, she’s an OG titan from hollow earth so she is one of the strongest titans ever Godzilla was only able to stand toe to toe because he absorbed all that radiation, regular Godzilla would’ve lost. 2) Suko is apparently Skar kings son, if you notice in the cave he had a harem and multiple kids that look exactly like suko, Suko looks like he’s the oldest he’s supposedly the same size Kong was in Skull island so about 100ft tall. The one that got pushed into the lava was sukos care taker regardless suko was still upset because he developed a good relationship with him. 3) Godzillas mannerisms are based on a cat according to the producer so along with being the protector of the world he’s very territorial & the number 1 alpha thats why he goes around keeping other titans in check unfortunately Scylla learned the hard way. As for Tiamat she was a victim of circumstance, Godzilla knew he had to power up, however Tiamat wasn’t going to just give her lair or even let him borrow it so he had to take it by force which meant killing her because she would’ve fought until the end. Godzilla is continuing to evolve he will continue to get stronger & stronger for new threats hopefully Space Godzilla, Gigan, & Destroyah. 4) Godzilla and King Kong aren’t enemies but their not friends more like rivals who can be allies when needed, both are Alphas, Kong was always the law on skull island and had no other equal so he grew up with that mentality, unfortunately for him Godzilla is just one level above and had to remind Kong who the top of the food chain is, regardless its not a bad relationship more so just about respect.
