So basically after shin had turned to stone after using his atomic breath in the movie,chunks of his flesh had fallen to the ground onto rubble,a team of people in hazmat suits went down to investigate it to learn more about shin,the clump of flesh that had fallen onto rubble was growing EYES and TEETH and showing SIGNS OF LIFE after it had fallen off of shin,basically as long as a part of shin still exists,he will always come back,thank you for the GREAT question though :>

The main problem when fighting shin is his evolution and superior healing. Like hedoroah or star fish cells or parts shins that fall off can make new godzillas or similar creatures. We only have one shin movie and crossover (the one after the movie not the one before) where we see shins powers when fighting the mechs in Evangelion (probably spelled wrong) where he fought multiple mechs at once (they didn't stand a chance) and in the same fight a new incarnation of king ghidorah shin did hibernate after using too much energy in the ghidorah fight. But after the mechs fought ghidorah and mostly made a wound on his chest with a sword disguised as a building ghidorah shot his beams at dormant shin which he evolved him self to absorb the energy and with some classic team work they killed monster 0 and he went on his marry way. Also that crossover was a 4d? Ride that I wish I could see I'm not a big anime fan but man! Any way if shin doesn't get a lucky shot in and loses (because I don't think shin would understand the dominance thing since how shin was born all shin would be is confused and angry not knowing why he's being attacked (remember shin hasn't existed for long so legendary g has major MAJOR plus in experience) so again if shin godzilla doesn't get a lucky shot even if godzilla blew his head off it wouldn't be a permanent death and when shin godzilla multiplies himself (there is some concept art of shin growing a new godzilla out his back for the shin movie about it) shin can have a numbers advantage. Now you could say we'll legendary g can just vaporize ever cell in shin well maybe burning legendary godzilla might it wont happen do too the events that need to happen to reach that point also we don't know when legendary godzilla know that's a problem.But now with the hollow earth energy in the picture I can't imagine the power shin would gain of course it would be to much power at first but he could definitely adapt his body into taking it...and remember the creator said that shin evolves into what he sees physically and what he thinks he needs to survive. So if he needs wings he could grow then I belive was his example. Legendary g would more then likely win the first or couple rounds. But shin would evolve and I see one of the first things he changes is his arms and he make them like legendary's arms. Now I'm not sure if shins back can be change as we see in his movie he doesn't change his exposed parts he just evolves to shoot out his back so that is interesting. Now I do believe that shin's skin or hide or whater it is, is stronger the legendarys based of the Missils and I could be wrong and there roufly the same in durability. But even in the first movie the missiles did get some reaction Now I know most of it was probably the gills but missles do seem to give a response. When hit on his body in the movies we see him in. But with shin nothing happend bullets appear to bounce off or and like a Shark he covers his eyes when explosions are to close the ony thing that effected him has the American stealth bombers when the very powerful ?bunker buster? Bombs because it went in his exposed back. It is so undefended that he bleeds a considerable amount. That's when he evolved his defenses to his dorsal plates. Any way long rant over I see legendary winning short term but shin mainly due to his superior healing and evolution factor that in the end shin Godzilla is inevitable...I highly dought legendary can successfully relize and destroy ever cell of shin godzilla before its to late. Although it would take some time for those cells or parts to take form, from hours to years depending on the part and what form it needs. I also dont see them coexisting at all because of how shin g is even a thing legendary g would see that thing an see an abomination that's not apart of the natural order. Ok long rant over (did I already say that?) Oh well I hope you learned Anything from this either way thankyou for reading this rant, have a bless day!

@@bro-711 well given that shin uses the radiation for everything if godzilla went into burning mode I think the heat from him in that mode could cause shin to over heat BUT shin can just use is already existing powers to counter act it atleast till he evolves a better colling mechanism. If legendary g goes burning shin could just absorb the energy editing from him so he doesn't need to hibernate for using to much power. Burning mode for legendary g is a dangerous double edged sword.
