Biollante would be the best choice for the 3rd Godzilla movie. It fits perfectly with the "scientists getting experimental" theme. Also, it is more believable (in sci fi that is) for Biollante to exist as some of the hollow earth monsters ooze green blood and hints to a plant based element to their physiology. As for how it becomes, that would make great theater. Imagine, scientists working with titan cells; in particular Godzilla cells... and experimenting on them with plant life in order to produce a plant that can sustain itself even in the event of a nuclear disaster. The clues have already been given in previous monsterverse films. as for Gigan, an alien cyborg monster giving Godzilla a serious fight... not even close. Hedora gave Godzilla a serious challenge and came close to defeating him, but Godzilla had help from the humans. Gigan had help from Ghidorah... so one on one, Gigan would and could be defeated by Godzilla far easier that Hedorah. Destroya should not even be in the movie because Godzilla represents the dominant Alpha titan and if he is offed, then the other titans couldn't stand a chance against destroya. Destroya represents anti life in a world where oxygen is essential for every living thing... including plant life. If they are going to off Godzilla, then that would not fit in the theme that the Monsterverse represents. As for Shimo, she looked like Kong's pet horse at the end of the movie and I seriously doubt that she was ever a villian at all. Since Godzilla in this franchise is the monster who "ate a star', then I doubt that it was a reference to space Godzilla. To get space Godzilla, you first need Biollante. On another note, I want gamera in the monsterverse. I think that would be the most awesome thing to see the G man and Gamera face to face on the big screen. Gamera would be a perfect fit as would the Gyaos and even Megalon. Think about it, Underground Kingdoms and or sunken Kingdoms within the hollow earth... it just works.

Idea: You know those portals in GxK, Space Godzilla comes out of one and comes to the surface. Godzilla knows what’s coming so fuels up. They meet in Tokyo to brawl, but Space Godzilla’s unique abilities throw Godzilla off. After a long fight, Godzilla picks Space Godzilla up and throws him to the ground. Godzilla pins Space Godzilla to the ground and shoots his atomic breath at Space Godzilla’s head and blows it down to hollow earth. (Like in GvK.) And does a victory roar and the movie is over.

But they need to do another solo king movie cuz there is only 1 as of now which is skull island.
