When have seen a new movie and people ask me what it was about I always yell "EMPOWERMENT!". What else is there? Trolls barfing glitter? WONKA? Screaming, blood, horrible sadistic people.... YUCK! A Quiet Place Part I don't care. Lord of the Rings parts who cares. A horror movie trope that was played out in the 80s Yet another Aliens cash grab movie. Yet another Starwars retcon movie. Last an Orphan black clone movie. Hollywood has run out of ideas or the will to try something new.

@@_martian101 I think you summed up the very things that make me tune out and dislike... and perhaps even hate, the new LotR. It can be visually beautiful and well shot, but it is not authentic, and treats the lore like 'sht'. It's empty window dressing, without soul or heart.
