to be fair with godzilla there were plenty of screw ups. the big difference is toho doesnt milk him until hes no longer profitable. they eventually let the big guy rest for a few years to over a decade then they bring him back. toho also learns from their mistakes and doesnt attack their audience for disliking what was released

love live the king of the monsters. when i was a child, the uhf channels of old would often air godzilla movies every saturday. i was always entranced and enchanted with wonder. in my teenage years, the fire grew, enthralled and embracing the films that continued. now, in my adult years, i have watched every film in godzilla's 70 year legacy. witnessing the recognition of an academy award at stateside, is truly the crown jewel of a symbol that initially represented fear, anguish and terror of nuclear fallout. love live the king of the monsters.

Toho's current agreement with Legendary only allows them to make one anniversary film every 10 years. That means Toho's Godzilla franchise is functionally dead.😥

I can't really explain why, but seeing this evolution of a film series and a film icon that has impacted my life and so many others in a positive way has me in tears. Godzilla represents why I love film and has given me hope, awareness, bravery, and joy throughout my whole life. It just means so much to me to see my favorite fictional creation get the love and recognition he has deserved for so long by not just toho but movie studios critics and fans the world round. I will always and forever love Godzilla and I can't wait for what the future of the greatest movie monster and pop culture icon of all time has in store. Long live the king, Forever live the god!!!
