God I love this scene. It wasn't really made clear in the movie, but Ghidorah was bringing the storms. He was terraforming Earth to his liking, and the storms were getting worse. Like, Day After Tomorrow tier bad in some places. But the Terran Kaiju's radiation battled his terraforming. When Mothra blasted her god rays, it drove the storm of Ghidorah both literally and figuratively back. This was the first time anyone had seen the sun in days, and Mothra brought it. The Queen of the Monsters showed the world that there was still hope, was the literal light in the darkness, and she brought glad tidings like the Goddess Guardian Angel she is. "Do not despair my children. While the false king may sit on the throne, bring the darkness and storms, and force my kin to destroy us all, hope is not lost..." "Because the true King still lives."

That is but a small part of one of the many great things about this movie, and why it is a great edition to the Godzilla franchise. It respects the series and its characters, making it instantly recognizable as a Godzilla movie by calling back to previous and including many elements from earlier films, but also making it distinct and new.

I saw this movie with a friend of mine who loves Godzilla. When he heard the original theme song remastered in this movie, he nearly jumped out of his seat and started screaming. I had to grab his arm to get him to sit down. The same thing happened when the army mentioned the Oxygen Destroyer. At the end of the movie with the after credits scene, I had my moment of flipping out when I called out the teaser for Mecha-King Ghidorah Another friend who we watched the movie with later on when it came out on DVD, the shot in Antartica where the camera pans up to reveal Godzilla, she said: “my boy’s been working out!” These were probably the best moments of 2019 for me

Love everyone screaming for their favorites to come back, especially Mothra. When I first saw her, I actually felt my eyes sting a bit. I wasn't crying. I was there with my family, and I've seen all the movies and everyone else has seen a fair few (minus my brother, who's seen less than five). My friends at the theaters was having a heck of a good time with the film too they loved how the movie performed this was beautiful my friends would’ve loved to be such a great theater filled with an amazing crowd Dman this would’ve made me and my friends day to the theater at G fest a whole lot more satisfying

Aww, I wish the audience was like that when I was watch the film, but what made my day was this 8-10 year old girl seating next to me humming the Godzilla theme when it played and singing the lyrics of Mothra theme. That made me happy love it when kids know and like the old films.

mine was quiet but outside...AFTER the movie everyone was pumped and happy as heck; ran into a bunch of fellow fans as we were walking to our cars in the parking lot--an hour later, at about 1 am we dicided it was time to get to our cars.

8:28 God I love this scene. It wasn't really made clear in the movie, but Ghidorah was bringing the storms. He was terraforming Earth to his liking, and the storms were getting worse. Like, Day After Tomorrow tier bad in some places. But the Terran Kaiju's radiation battled his terraforming. When Mothra blasted her god rays, it drove the storm of Ghidorah both literally and figuratively back. This was the first time anyone had seen the sun in days, and Mothra brought it. The Queen of the Monsters showed the world that there was still hope, was the literal light in the darkness, and she brought glad tidings like the Goddess Guardian Angel she is. "Do not despair my children. While the false king may sit on the throne, bring the darkness and storms, and force my kin to destroy us all, hope is not lost..." *"Because the true King still lives."*

You can see it here, and when Godzilla awakens. When he blasts his atomic breath into the sky, that blew Ghidorah's storm away for a hundred miles in every direction. It was his clarion call that he was back to reclaim his throne alongside his Queen. Both scenes give me chills every time.
