I don’t get emotional at films very easily. Every time I see the scene where the mechanic says “live” I can’t hold back the tears. Not only is Koichi forgiven for his mistakes, but he’s also told not just to survive but to live. So it wasn’t just about forgiveness, it was him telling Koichi to put his burdens behind him and go on with a life no longer plagued by that trauma.

This is basically just a re-imagining of the original 1954 Godzilla movie, but Godzilla in this movie is far more aggressive.

He’s not just more aggressive. His design is the best I’ve seen. And his atomic breath blows us away (literally) every time. What’s remarkable is that even though the screen time he gets is probably less than in other Godzilla films, there isn’t a moment you see him where you don’t feel awe. For a Godzilla fan this is a gift and a dream come true.

Foreigners are excited by the flashy explosions caused by Godzilla's heat rays, but they don't feel the fear of an atomic bomb. Noriko's sacrifice was necessary to make the audience feel the horror of an atomic explosion.

You've seen the Legendary Godzilla. Now you've seen the newest Toho one. Just to round out some Godzilla knowledge maybe go see the last Hollywood version of it from 1998. A very different take on Godzilla. So much so that Toho bought it back just so they could bury it & forget it existed. 😆 It's not a great movie, but it's a good popcorn flick.

Enjoyed Your reaction and if you didn’t know! They were saluting Godzilla not the pilot! If you enjoyed this movie you REALLY Have to Watch The 1954 original Gojira Renamed Godzilla that Started it all they do use miniatures but you get past that because of the story and the unfortunate solution to their problem! And I believe the most reason Godzilla Was So Angry It’s Literally me Teasing a dog or any other animal especially when they’re young they will remember it when the get grown! Maybe if they had let him alone and stayed out of his way he might not have been so angry at the sight of people fearing they meant him harm as any other animals might react? In the beginning Godzilla showed no aggression until aggression was done to him! I’m not saying he would make a great pet like in the monster verse! But if he was just left alone he might have stayed in his own lane 🤷🏽‍♂️. But Also the radiation could have had a lot to do with his anger, sort of like someone on drugs. Back in the day, all these movies studios talked about CGI making special effects cheaper. So now when you see a Marvel movie at $200+ million, it makes you wonder where that went wrong. 🤔 How much wasted time and effort. Or who knows maybe they're just laundering the money. 😆

They might be laundering it, who knows, I just hate that they use it as a shortcut, like they prefer to use cgi, even in place, that they can use practical objects, they lack the effort

0:56 so your basically talking about the Monsterverse Godzilla 2014 and Godzilla vs Kong in the end they were fighting Mechagodzilla. Those are the modern American versions that are emulating what ToHo likes to do in the past but with a few tweaks. For one these are CGI characters instead of a guy in a suit. They can show more emotion be more agile ECT. Both sides have their own strength and weaknesses. Personally I love both cause they portray the characters right. And that goes for this movie which BTW don't say the ToHo movies are Monsterverse movies. The Monsterverse is a legendary property. Toho is has been doing Kaiju movies since 1954. This movie is like a reimagining to the 1954 Gojira movie but set in the 1940s and is probably as good if not better than Gojira 1:04 Godzilla x Kong the new empire another fun movie in the Monsterverse. Why don't you like these movies anyway?

Well, firstly, thank you for all that info about the difference between Toho Kaiju movies and monsterverse info, i appreciate it I also get your point on CGI and Guy in a suit, both having their strengths and weaknesses. I just prefer practical things in general. It's not only about Godzilla but even characters from comics and stuff. I just love it when they go that route, rather than saying yeah lets just use CGI The reason im not a big fan of the Monsterverse or this kind of movies is not that i hate them but because, they always felt the same to me, like its just that 'hey guys there is a big monster lets go kill it'. I feel like it's just a copy and paste, i only enjoy them when there is a subplot behind just killing the monster, like in this one, the ex pilot meets a girl and sort of a love story, i like those kind of movies not those which focus 100% on the monster.

@@hewhoreacts well the Monsterverse is moving from the humans story and giving the monsters more attention and more characterization. Something a lot of ToHo movies done. As for practical effects vs CGI well I love practical effects as well let's be for real..... The Godzilla series in general has to adapt with the times so it has to use CGI and so far with the Monsterverse and the two ToHo movies shin Godzilla and minus one it's doing pretty good
