Using clips from World War II combat footage, this is how I envisioned a battle with Minus One Goji and how it might have went down had our boys engaged him after he sank the USS Redfish and some of the other ships. I really would have loved to see some more American presence in the film but understood why Takashi kept it simple and focused on it's central Japanese characters only. Regardless I absolutely loved the film, let me know what you think and more cool stuff to come!

Using modern day CGI Godzilla footage and editing it into old navy footage gives the illusion that Im actually watching real footage of a giant creature! Its like this was classified military footage or something, this was so awesome!

From the movie (approximate transcript)... "Pacific fleet destroyer U.S.S. Lancaster was attacked and disabled by an unknown enemy. No further details about it at this time". "Intercepted a distress call from Pacific fleet attack sub U.S.S. Redfish, reporting pursuit of massive undersea organism through Pacific waters. After successfully photographing target, Redfish made contact and was destroyed. Late reconnaissance picked up heavy radioactive emissions where hull collided with enemy creature's skin".

I think something like this in the movie would've been cool. The American Military tries to help but gets decimated by Godzilla causing the Japanese citizens to be on their own. It still would've shown that they can stand on their own two feet like the original. Pretty good edit.

I think it would be really cool if it took place in 1954 or 1964, neat nods to the showa era big event years. I'd love to see him fight Varan, Baragon and Anguirus, a nod to the unmade gmk script too and give some kaiju that haven't been used a lot some big screen spot light
