Hi everyone. Due to a copyright claim on what I thought was creative commons background footage, I had to cut out two parts of this video (approx 1 min). I don't want you to miss out on any information, so here is the script of what was said during these cut parts: 29:43 - "Let's look back and see why this story is what it is. As you are aware by the title of this video, I suggested Godzilla NES is the most disturbing creepy pasta of all time. So let me tell you why. According to Venngage..." 30:38 - "...and end on a cliffhanger. If we look back at Godzilla NES, we can match each of these themes with different parts of the story. The story is told from a first person perspective. Unexplained phenomena occur, such as strange glitches, metaphysical events, and fourth-wall breaks. Something I appreciate about Red is that he is restricted, for example in sonic.exe sonic can catch up and kill you whenever he wants defeating the point of playing, Red ca't do that he states in the final battle "Can't break the rules" after being accused of cheating. This shows the fact Red has to follow the rules of the game but can bend them to his advantage, if he can't be invincible he can give himself a lot of health, if he can't 1 shot he can do a lot of damage, if he can't stop you from playing he'll make sure you can't stop playing. This makes Red a threat while not feeling unbeatable or generically overpowered.

A few corrections: Zach never gave up at any point, he was trying to the end to unlock the forbidden character even whilst losing feeling. The final fight was not effortless. Zach had half a health bar left before finally killing red.

Yeah it is a little cheesy because the footage he was showing was from a game designed to simulate the creepypasta in the audio drama I watched however it was just still pictures so It did make it pretty creepy. You could image Godzilla being chassed and the fact that Zachry actually out ran him the first time unlike the footage shown. Edit: He also forgot to mention the the really creepy part where Zach said "YES" after out running red of witch Red responded by looking through the game directly at him witch was super creepy in the audio drama recommend checking that out if this story interests you I think It's the ideal way to experience this creepypasta.

My favorite part about this story is that it's not a standard creepypasta. The story has good humor, creepiness, and a good ending. I also really like godzilla and all the references to the franchise is amazing. Red is also terrifying. It's not just a creepy story, it's an amazing story.

I cannot imagine this game in the game characters's perspectives. Godzilla, or Gojira in Japan, a being who is known and feared as the King of Monsters; but yet compared to something like Red who is easily a few stories taller than him/her (I can't remember Godzilla's canon gender, sorry) and has spider legs, long clawed arms, a scorpion-like tail, giant mouth and looking like a rotting mass of meat? That must be terrifying. Thinking that you're the most unstoppable and scariest Kaiju, but this huge red thing can easily grab you and *eat you* when it catches you as if you're nothing but a small snack to it? I can't imagine how terrifying and demeaning that would be for our beloved King of Monsters. And for our dear Mothra. She's a protector for the world, she's meant to keep humans safe from the terror of Godzilla before (at least to my memory?) becoming friends with Godzilla and the other Kaiju. I can't imagine how it would feel to be a protector but being completely powerless to stop what's happening to your friends because of this creature named Red keeps destroying everything you've been trying so desperately to protect. The poor girl must've been absolutely horrified to be living through this hellish situation.

God, Sonic.exe is basically what everyone thinks of when they hear the word Creepypasta. I hate it as a member of the Sonic fandom, as I enjoy reading Creepypasta stories as well, as I find it interesting what people come up with. But I've even PLAYED Sonic.exe and it is not all that it is cracked up to be, I consider Sonic.exe to be the most boring of all Creepypastas. When I read NES Godzilla, I immediately enjoyed it, as I found it to be an intensely engaging story that was well crafted, similarly to other creepypastas I enjoy, like Hell Bell, Snow On Mount Silver or Starved. It's why I consider it to be one of my favorite creepypastas that I've read so far

It showed the sheer humanity of the protagonist in his fear and pain, as the realization of the overall paradox strikes you. He's still holding onto the memories of his loved one, refusing to let go even through all the pain this generates him. This is what makes this particular creepypasta different. It is creepy, sure, but it is undoubtedly more realistic than the usual "found cartridge" creepypasta cliché.

I super liked everything about this creepypasta. I actually really liked the ending. It was so unexpected to have a surge of angelic power. The creepypasta and this video does such a good job making you feel immersed in the darkness that you genuinely want to bust out of it. Unlike most creepypastas which aren't immersive enough for you to want a good ending. In most creepypastas you aren't as invested or scared, so you'd rather just have the ambiance of a grim ending than a divine intervention. Plus, I love spiritual stuff and angels.

There's something particularly creepy about the first few seconds. With the ambience and fire in the background followed by that shadowy silhouette running across the screen behind everything before you even know what it is. It just increases the fear factor that it then takes such a long time before Red even shows up on screen, adding to the immersion that this is something that exists outside of the game since a boss battle character wouldn't be programmed to take their time catching up to the player before it begins, and makes the entire sequence feel like it lasts forever as you're waiting, anticipating whatever is gonna happen, but yet... nothing... and nothing... and nothing...

Honestly I think the game was actually trying to help Zach by having him literally play through his trauma. Red takes the form of his trauma, and people with traumatic experiences often blame themselves and the trauma even ‘consumes’ people if it’s that bad. The game has him literally fight his demons, and the only way he could truly defeat them was by coming to terms with Melissa and her death, which allows him to unlock the weapons he needs to finally defeat his trauma. In the end, the game helped him, and will continue helping people through their traumas with the game.

You can play as godzilla, morthra and even the others normally, and when he gets to the end of the phase he finds Melissa, gives him an goodbye message and the rest can follow with the original story.(for the question mask, there could be an scene were Zachary finds them at the bottom of the map and the mask tells that they missed him)

I guess the ending makes sense if you consider The Face to be the actual spirit possessing the game, and the whole things purpose is to serve as a mirror reflecting the owner's inner demons and allowing them to confront them. Those who have played RLcraft modpack for Minecraft know that Red is actually the final boss in that modpack, found in the parasites dimension, and is known as Amalgalich, the undead boss. Lava is molten rock not liquid rock and can be seen moving as chunks/liquid appearance. Magma which is lava before it hits the surface is more liquidized that lave itself.

Imagine for a second, a different version of this story: melissa suffers from mental issues that make her the butt of bullying all her life, and some sick high schooler, pretending to be her friend, made this ROM hack knowing it would disturb her. She goes to the guy that gave it to her, tries to show him what she's seen, but he pretends not to see anything. Her psychology and misplaced trust causes her to obsess over the cartridge and internalize its message of self destruction, eventually resulting in her death. The protagonist's story is him playing through the game, and gradually unraveling the mystery. In the end his disbelief in the supernatural is validated, but at the cost of becoming aware of a different kind of evil, and learning who is ultimately responsible for his friend's death. It would have been a huge trope subversion, unexpectedly highlighting how terrible people can use things we love to hurt and alienate us.

Not good. 1.Zach actually feels the pain 2.Massive coincidence for the clearly innocent Billy to obtain it 3.Monster stories are just plain better. You can shoot a random prick human and that’s the end of it. No suspense there.
