I keep seeing the question, so I'll issue a blanket answer: There are not currently any plans to review the kinda garbage Killing Joke movie. I watched it for my own curiosity and just happened to be returning it the same time I returned Godzilla. And I realized I hadn't used the one F-Bomb I allot myself per video yet. I might make a quick video about my thoughts on it if there's a lot of demand for it.

You are so right about Biollante being beyond OP. I’ve actually had instances where she was TOO powerful and destroyed either the generator or enemy monster faster than I actually wanted her too (even when I was actively trying not to hit them) and wasn’t able to get 100% destruction because of it.

Necro commenting, sorry. My library gets games like this, too. Usually, it's most likely donated by kids who get bored or frustrated with games, and their parents don't think to return them or can't be arsed to sell them online. Other times, it's games people have played through once and don't want to play again. It's been a long time since I've been there, but I know my library, while it had some stinkers, even one DLJ has reviewed, mine does have some great games like Xenoblade Chronicles and Rune Factory Frontier.

Well, about the part at 19:15, there have been moments in the films where there have been more than one Godzilla in a film, but the other Godzillas were either younger versions of the main one, a sort-of space clone, or a resurrected skeleton in a robot

I hate that movie too. Even passed the 30 minute prologue, it sucks. The animation is choppy, the colors are based on the ugly deluxe edition, the voice actors sound like they don’t give a shit, the pacing is the definition of fucked, and Joker’s monologue is turned into a fight scene. Fuck this movie.

Batman the killing joke could have been so much better. I don’t think anybody would have cared if they cut out the first 30 minutes. Even if it was short, it would’ve been better than what we got because they could’ve taken more time to flesh out their adaptation of the comic. Also that first 30 minutes had nothing to do with anything. Anyway, I enjoyed the video! Keep up the great work Jadow! You should review Godzilla Unleashed if you own it.

Looking at this game I could see an interesting idea for a game crippled by wanting to make it feel like the monsters are actually massive beasts. I think if they had made the main game like a Pipeworks styled game where you destroyed the city and perhaps had more to destroy then just generators it could have been cool. Like maybe when no enemy monsters are around the player monster moves slow and deliberate and speeds up when a battle starts. Maybe levels where you have to destroy a percentage of the city and the generators being worth a lot could have added some variety. Or perhaps a final level starting with humans sending their best machines and you have to destroy most of the city while everything and the kitchen sink is thrown at you. If they wanted the Legendary Godzilla to be a really imposing force they could have had it so that the final battles while you play as Burning Godzilla go through a gauntlet of foes with a new monster coming at every 10% city destruction. Then at 70% the Legendary Godzilla sporting perhaps some exclusive moves like a grab that has him rush you into the nearest building to collapse it on you. As it is now this game had a lot of potential to be cool but missed why the monster fights can be awesome. Personally I think they should make another 3D fighter to tie into Godzilla vs Kong and do it like the Pipeworks games. Fun, fast paced, and a good amount of unlockable monsters. Hell if they want to sell DLC why not make a game with a roster of 25-30 good monsters and sell some variants and obscure monsters. One last thing: Godzilla Final Wars if you want batshit insanity and a lot of fun with the humans also being crazy, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla for Showa era crazy, Godzilla vs Hedorah for the greatest scene in film history and other weirdness, the original Godzilla for a classic, Godzilla vs Destroyah has some great scenes to end the Hesei era, and lastly a full Showa Godzilla box set is coming out soon that gets you a movie for each day for about 2 weeks.

Prefect timing. I was literally watching angry Joe's playthrough of the game when I got notified. I just realized they kind of basically made a mobile phone game for PS4 with this one XD. Also, glad to see another Godzilla '98 fan. I got the DVD of the movie, the animated series which I binged on Netflix way back, and both video games for Gameboy color.

I think I would make a pretty good Godzilla game. It would be a fighting game and third person shooter with human character play alongside the monster fights. As Godzilla and co., you will head to different cities around the world, taking on other monsters and the extraterrestrial threat invading the earth. As a human, you will go on missions, fight against the extraterrestrials and aid Godzilla and his allies against the alien threats.

After rewatching this review many times and watching plenty of videos from people who actually enjoyed the game or merely found it tolerable: I think the idea of this game was good. Go around destroying building, killing military vehicles like boots to ants, and fighting other Kaiju. BUT, it boils down to controls, objectives, and presentation. The game’s graphics don’t look like a PS2 game like people say, but the PS4, even this early in its life time could do better. The military lady on the phone needed to speak WAY LESS, if at all. The animations for everything needed to be smoother and less clunky looking. And we needed WAY more monsters than what we already have. As for controls, self explanatory, needed to be fluid and not stiff, ditch the tank controls for actual movement, and make everything you do have less delay to no delay. But most importantly they needed to come up with better missions than smash generators every level. And balance out the monsters to have faster speed, not have broken attack moves, and improve the AI. So they had a good idea when making this game, but they needed to polish it to make it actually good.

My biggest issues with Godzilla on PS4 is that it just shouldn't have been released with a $60 price tag when it is so VERY clearly a budget title that's worth $20 or if we must push it, $30 and there's the fact it pretends it's a fighting game. I think the Godzilla simulator aspect of it is fine but the fact it's crippled by bizarrely archaic controls really makes me scratch my head, especially when I hear G-fans defend it by saying that it just takes some getting used to even though that goes for EVERY game that has poor controls. Though really what's the saddest aspect is that I can see where the foundation of a good game is buried. If this had more time in the tank or hell, even a sequel that improved upon the controls, had more modes and more monsters? We could've had a Godzilla game that did the franchise justice. However, Bandai Namco just had to cheap out and port over a PS3 game with the only additions being the ability to play as the other monsters, the online mode and one other extra mode because that's what one of Japan's most iconic characters deserved I guess.

Eh I gotten use to the controls and seeing a lot of the monsters is always awesome. But let's face it godzilla saves the earth is a thousand times better. Also I enjoyed king of the monsters. Yes it has it's problems and yes most of the fights keep cutting back to the humans and yes that's really annoying. But it explain why the storms is always around and I can see what's happening so maybe you should get your eyes check. It was cool for what it is and I can't wait for godzilla vs kong

Since I am a very massive Godzilla fan I will say this about the 98 movie. The 98 Godzilla is still infinitely better than the godzilla anime trilogy especially planet eater and city on the edge of battle. Seriously Planet Eater and City On The Edge of battle are so fucking bad that they make Godzilla's revenge of all movies look good mainly because the character Haruo Sakaki is the worst human character in the godzilla franchise since 90% of his dialogue him saying "Die Godzilla you bastard" or something similar to that and the movie has next to no focus on Godzilla (or Godzilla Fillius or Earth as he is named is that trilogy) and even when Godzilla Earth is on screen he does next to nothing plus the monster fight between Planet Eater Ghidorah and Godzilla Earth is one of the worst kaiju fights in the series.

I bought a 3D Printed replica of the 2012 Film Lawgiver on Ebay and it was a fine purchase! They also have models you have to assemble and paint yourself and a more expensive prop model where you can actually eject thw magazines, but they were way more expensive

Angry Joe did a review of this game as well, to say he was unhappy with it would be an understatement as he would later use the "Godzilla is approaching the generator!" and "the generator is losing power" in any future reviews for games that have one or two pieces of dialog for objectives in a mocking tone.

I've got so many games sitting at home ready to review I haven't been checking the library for entertaining garbage. I've more been checking there for major releases that I don't want to pay money for. Case in point: they have three copies of Anthem with zero reserves on it. That game's likely going to get killed off any day now, so I'll check it out for a review before the year's out. I'm just not in the mood for another crazy long game at the moment.

I'm looking at the Wii Godzilla unleashed on amazon and its 100 dollars for a new copy! around 30 for used. So I'll buy a used copy instead. I think the audience for those who like this game are those who like the older movies where the monsters were slow, though the people that I know like the Pipeline trilogy more because you move way faster and can do moves that the movies could dream of doing, plus far larger maps that felt like a battlefield of a city instead of a tight arena match of several blocks. So I'm buying unleashed.

It’s so fun to fight other monsters while you destroy everything in sight! If you own Godzilla Unleashed, could you do a review of it? Even so, the Dark Knight Returns and Under the Red Hood animated films does the best adaptations of classic Batman stories imo.

If you want to get specific it's about 28 minutes in that the prologue ends and the Killing Joke adaptation begins. They fudge a few key moments (Joker finding out his wife died plays out offscreen) and they went out of their way to heavily imply that Batgirl was raped (which did not happen in the comic) but apart from that it's a good adaptation of the comic past the prologue.

debatable. its a mediocre game at best that just gets more hate than it deserves. its not just the edginess some of the design decisions (like how many replays it requires and some of the stage objectives) are just hard to justify. makes a good comparison to this game however just because how many times you have to replay both and how much better shadow the hedgehog is.

I actually enjoyed that excerpt from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds (awesome Yu-Gi-Oh! series, in my opinion) more than the Godzilla game itself. I don't see the reason why games are overpriced even still and with little content to justify it.

The problem with the 4Kids dubs isn't the voice acting, it's the heavy editting, cutting of scenes, flanderization of characters to add in references, ALWAYS giving the main character an obnoxious catchphrase for the kids to repeat, and overall americanization. They basically try to turn animes into saturday morning cartoons.

I loved KOTM 2019. Anyway its a shame this game wasn't great granted I never played it and honestly I would still want to try it out cuz maybe I would maybe like it. But I just wish they would make a game like the Pipeworks Godzilla games. Or make a Godzilla game like this one but with better controls, story, gameplay, etc. But heyyy we're getting a monsterverse mobile game cuz that's what we want!!!!

Wow, I honestly had no idea that this game has reached Suikoden II levels of expensive. One of the only games of this generation to actually achieve this accomplishment, and it happens to be one of the worst games ever made. Exactly why would anyone want to own this game when better Godzilla games exist on the PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox?

I think this game was only for the hardcore Godzilla fans. I actually appreciated this game, but yes it does have some flaws. But some statements you made about the monsters weren’t true, for example you saying that the monsters that fly don’t move any faster while flying actually do move faster. You gotta give a few seconds then it speeds pick up. And as Godzilla you actually have 2 attack’s when you roar, if you press X you do a hard charge then you have the breath. And talking about the moves being slow, is like saying we’re gonna be the same speed if we were that size, did you really see the movie in 2014??? Did you not see how slow Godzilla was? It’s way more realistic man, they are huge monsters after all. And if you had actually watched all the movies of godzilla, you would better understand the monsters, Witch is why I do believe this game will only be loved by people who are hardcore Godzilla fans, like I am.
