Man the bad reviews for this are really catching me off guard. I feel like this is another movie/show that’s fallen victim to bad reviews because it’s “smart”. I’m not saying that I’m a smart person. I’ll admit I’m dumb as fuck. But I also don’t mind things that are smart. I like movies and shows that have “intelligent” stories because I feel like they’re more engaging. It’s kinda irritating seeing people dismiss something as bad and their reason amounts to “it was too smart for me”. It started with a crystal lattice that can exist in 3D but it's affect is to diffract matter including light in spacetime, but in reality this lattice was just a 3D interpretation of a higher dimensional lattice that can diffract anything including information in higher dimensions through spacetime in and out of our reality, hence all the time travel bullshit. It all seemed to be off the mark, but I like the wild imagination starting with a field still under research which are properties of lattices and how that can be used. It kinda reflects how we are yet to fully grasp the impact and possibilities of quantum physics and its effects. The godzilla was really an extra which is why I think people shit on it.

I agree with you (plus I’m not smart too) but I find it easy to understand and intrigued by the story and it’s lore. It seems like the fans are either scarred from the Polygon Trilogy or they are being too dismissive and still living under the nostalgia. This situation reminds me in the Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers) fandom about 2202 (Remake of the Season 2) being dismissive and they find it hard understand (most of them are old timer fans) despite watching second time whilst me (a young fellow), I find it easy to understand the story and themes that were presented in 2202 in both first and second viewing.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of this. As a fan of both Godzilla and animation in general, I was pleasantly surprised. This anime TV show brings a breath of fresh air to the Godzilla universe. It's unique and standalone so that we get a fresh take on this version of Godzilla and the other fellow monsters.

Well, it was a big change for the character, normally he had some kind of fatness but not in the way that Legendary did have. We're in 2021 now and that desing started to be of liking not only to japanese audience but in the entire daikaiju fandom. Still, this new desing is like a combination of Legendary, Shin and resembles a little bit to KiryuGoji as well.

Love the fact that Godzilla is being picked up by Netflix again. I loved Godzilla Earth, despite major changes to the original lore and overall feel of the original films. Seeing characters like Jet Jaguar in this trailer is really refreshing to see rather than the more famous characters like Mothra and King Ghidorah. My only real complaint would be Godzilla's role seemingly being yet another antagonist. Whilst Godzilla was literally made to be an antagonist, it would be nice to see a more passive character for Godzilla. Either way I'm sure the series will do great and I'll totally watch it when it comes out!

Godzilla Singular Point looks more like a Alligator with a dragon mix.. and its actually really cool seeing him have a way bigger jaw that even shin can compete against

When you realize, 2 era's are running on the same time. Reiwa: Shin Godzilla, Godzilla: Planet Eater series, and Singular Point. Monsterverse: Godzilla 2014, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: KotM, and Godzilla vs Kong.

I oneslty more pumped for Gamera rebirth because Godzilla has gotten too much attention, the King of the Monsters had his turn in the spot light, now I think it is time to enjoy seeing an anime about the Guardian of the universe
