You know, I'm curious if this special helped influence Kiryu from the Millennium series. Think about it. Kiryu is a new incarnation of Mechagodzilla built around the bones of the original Godzilla. CyberZilla is a similar case, this version being the corpse of the 1998 Zilla with cybernetic enhancements covering its body, turning it into a half mechanical/half organic kaiju.

@@zombielizard2870 Showa MechaGodzilla(2nd appearance) had to use a Human brain to control things properly. So even Showa had some level of cybernetics. Oh and Heisei Mecha-Godzilla is made using parts of the future-tech cybernetics from Mecha-Ghidorah! Yeah, AFAIK Mecha-Godzilla didn't have any organic parts in Heisei, but it's still connected to an organic being.

This is the only version of godzilla that scared me as a kid. The zombie like roar it makes and how it is basically a zombie scared me. The only other one that even registered close to it is the godzilla pre nuke in minus one.
