Chameleon is literally tough for Godzilla to beat, its much more reliable than Godzilla, skin protects it from Godzilla's atomic breath, due to osteoderms, like that of an Ankylosaurus. It can also camouflage, since its a mutated Chameleon, hence its name, so that no one can see it, Literally.

My favorite monster of the series. Kinda feel sorry for it. Never got a chance to live for itself without someone controlling it. Luckily Chameleon got redeemed in the ASM godzilla vs kong videos.

I think chameleon looks dope, and like it or not he/she is Zilla Jr.'s sibling and could have had an interesting story arc of coming to terms with it's own existence like mewtwo, for example. I can’t help but feel kind of sorry for that thing winter forced it to do all the things I did and never really had a choice to be good or bad so I do feel bad for it. It never had a choice to do what it wanted. It only was forced to do with winter told it to do things bad thing jammed, and it’s brain it was forced to fight Godzilla. It was forced to frame him for its crimes, and it was destroyed without ever getting a chance to make a choice of what he wanted to do. Godzilla chose to do good it was just told fight and do horrible things.
