The thing I love about Kiryu is that he's completely loaded with layers upon layers of heavy weaponry, almost all of which is *completely* useless, which does absolutely nothing to the one opponent he was built to face, but then the moment he starts just going fisticuffs, he utterly dominates.

1:58 I just LOVE the idea that here Godzilla is fighting the very first Godzilla in a battle across time, Literally this is the closest we'll get to a true match between two members of Godzilla's species! I also find it so cool that past Godzilla aka Kiryu is even better at fighting, considering the age difference.
