Actually that makes perfect sense. Martian is a term for something from Mars specifically, just like saying earthling means anything specifically from Earth. An alien is from anywhere besides Earth (or any planet that is not its home planet) which can include a Martian, and while Godzilla has fought aliens like Ghidorah, he never fought something specifically from Mars.

He's taken so many attacks from so many sources that make the heat rays look like pop guns. Hell Ghidora's Gravity Beams can incinerate humans like those Heat Rays and in my opinion are more devastating. Rodan would have field day snatching up tripods, tearing apart the shell to get to the gooey center. Mothra & Kong would be the most susceptible but after getting burned once both would use tactics to crush their opposition.

@@KingKaiju58 Not doubting anything you're saying but the main difference is depending on what canon you're going with, the tripods beams are specifically meant to vaporise living organic tissue. That's why they would do serious damage to Godzilla. The best kaiju comparison to compare how it would effect Godzilla would be Destroyah. His weapons are similar enough to the tripods as in they destroy cells and at least imo I'm under the impression if it wasnt Godzilla at his peak burning state, any other creature or lesser Godzilla would have lost badly. Now imagine even a doesnt mini destroyahs firing an oxygen destroyer beam all at once, that's essentially what the Godzilla experience in this story. Fascinating crossover nonetheless, would love a part 2 with Mothra and all the new canon monsters rallying to defend against the second wave. Although Ghidorah being so gigantic and having a much better healing factor could probably solo an entire Martian fleet all by "bididididididi"ing enough lmao

Imagine Ghidorah seeing these “Tripods” getting incredibly close to killing Godzilla, and stepping in to save him, only because Ghidorah wants to personally destroy the G-Man. Then Rodan and Mothra arrive to help. Then soon after the battle, Ghidorah notices how badly Godzilla is hurt, and leaves him to heal, so next time the fight would be fair. That would be cool to see.

Sorcerer Beroll Yeah, I think the reason why they were able to hurt him in this video was for dramatic effect. In the WotWs movie/novel, the only things that the Martians’ death rays were able to vaporize were humans. While they can destroy large buildings, the buildings in question weren’t vaporized. Vaporizing humans is child’s play compared to detonating large buildings. Besides, Godzilla tanked Castle Bravo, which is more powerful than the Hiroshima Bomb, which easily vaporized everyone in its blast radius.

As we can see in the movie, an unshielded Tripod can be destroyed with 3-4 missiles. But Godzilla plane crashes on top of it is not affected. The atomic bomb was dropped, he became stronger and invincible. And his skin is so thick and armored that I don't think the Heat Ray will penetrate his skin. Even with his claws, strong enough to separate the tripod's head from its body.
