Back when you did this, you said there was no Atmos. I said when I get my 4k disc, I would listen in a different format (DTS: Neural X) I heard my height channels, all 6 of them!!

@wendellwendellb339 😮 That’s sad the upmix is better than the actual native content. You’re not hearing Atmos on DTS:Nueral X though. Its just upmixing

@@hatoraidcowboy I’m sorry, better than Atmos! There was a test done on the same type of thing. It was done with the movie “No Time to Die” to show that what you couldn’t hear in Atmos, was heard in DTS and Auro 3D. You do know that G x K: The New Empire also has a DTS track!

There were actually some Atmos effects in the Top Fronts from what I heard in my home theater when Scylla made her first appearance and when Zilla first woke up in the ocean when he sensed her. And when Kong was roaring at Suko off screen I heard it come from the Right Top Rear speaker. There were a few other subtleties too that I noticed with the baby "Moth" dragonfly bug flying above in the Top Fronts then back to the bed layers when the human cast discovered the outer regions of the temple, but overall it wasn't that much Atmos but there definitely were sounds going on above.

How's the bass of Godzilla x Kong compared to Dune Part 2?

Not even close. Dune Part 2 smokes GxK. Dune has better, cleaner, deeper and tighter bass.

@@hatoraidcowboy Finally watched it on digital and I have to agree with what you said. The bass was clean and tight, and in my experience was hitting down into the mid 20s constantly.I really enjoyed this one compared to the last Godzilla Kong movie. Video was also very very clean.

That’s what I wanted to hear about, the bass with all the stomping, jumping they were doing, the subs should be getting a workout! I will find out when it’s released on 6/11!

There are some really great atmos mixes out there….but big budget movies like this is a head scratcher. And thank you!

I have all of the Godzilla and Kong movies on 4K Blu-ray. I hope this one looks and sounds as great as the previous discs.

You’re welcome! Yea pretty odd decision by the studio. Godzilla vs Kong had demo worthy Atmos. But I think The New Empire had a different director.

No. I dont have an Auro3D capable processor. Its very audible that there’s almost no Atmos in this movie
