Have to admit, I'm not a big monster aficionado, since Godzilla -1 was my first time watching a Godzilla movie. I only went because I heard it was just amazing as a movie, and the hype really was accurate--I was not disappointed. Your review of this one makes me think it's something I could watch on video someday, but I am not likely to pay to see it in the theater. Not because I wouldn't like it, just that it isn't really my thing and anymore if something isn't for the kids or amazing, I am too cheap to go. ;)

I agree, the worst thing about the Monsterverse for me is the Humans they take the attention away from Godzilla etc. Me too, Team Godzilla all the way!

FYI, the merchandise labels the character Skar King. Andre may be right about people being tired of reboots and rehashes; Godzilla x Kong is, by far, outperforming Dune, Ghostbusters and everything else at the theatre near me.
