if you're expecting this to be an oscar worthy film like minus one then dont bother watching it cause you will be dissapointed. these are completely two different versions and we have to accept that. besides, its not like the japanese version were any less cheesier, they were way cheesier, these new american godzilla films are just modern versions of the showa era. and its ok to love both. theres two versions for everybody. one version where people can just sit back and get pulled in emotionally and one version allows people to just sit back with a big bucket of popcorn and just enjoy a weekend movie at a theater. so no, this godzilla version dont need to top minus one. this version is much like the mcu and dceu. blockbuster films where you can just enjoy and turn your brain off. i just hope that the human characters dont hold back this movie though. the only way that this franchise can even have a chance to top minus one is if guillermo del toro suddenly decides to direct the next godzilla movie. he is known to be a massive godzilla fan and thats where he draws his reptilian signiture creature designs from watching japanese kaiju films as a kid.

That’s your opinion just cuz you accept movies to be mindless popcorn action other people don’t have too. Modern movies have been lacking and Minus One showed that you could make a great Godzilla movie with only a budget of 12 million so what’s the excuse for Hollywood. I don’t have to accept that there’s a reason why people make reviews so they can criticize the parts that are bad so they can fix it in the next movie. As far as the MCU and DCEU box offices sales is proving that Hollywoods formula of making things woke and full of agendas is hurting them lol. Again I don’t expect these movies to be Oscar worthy but it’s can still be a good movie if they do it right

@@DollarBoiEnt and what is a good movie these days? oscar worthy scripts? whats wrong with todays movies like these is not the quality itself, its just that movie goers nowadays are just close minded and boring, movie goers nowadays didnt get smart like you people are saying, they're just self proclaimed movie experts thats all, and they dont go to theaters to watch a movie, they go to the theater to critique a movie, and the flaws is the first thing they want to find. instead of just enjoying it, they give themeselves a stress figuring out the logic of the movie they are watching even though the movie is clearly marketed as movie about a radioactive giant lizard and a giant ape. if these types of movies were released in the late 90s to early 2000s they would have grossed like close to a billion dollars box office. and for the marvel stuffs, im talking about the good ones not the woke ones.

My man when did I say I hate these movies, I stated a fact minus one cost 12 million to make while movies like this cost around 100 million and still be trash.
