​@@iancruz6617 Not necessarily, toho's first and only kaiju movie that took inspiration from kong during the 1950s was gojira. While there was a 1939 Japanese kong film which is now considered lost media, it wasn't made by toho. If anything, America was making more monster flicks throughout the 1930s-early 1950s before godzilla was a thing. Most of which weren't king kong ripoffs. Godzilla was the one having ripoffs of him after his creation
