That is not my purpose. Followers of Yeshua believe He was the symbolic representation in man form of Yerushalaym. A Yoseph and a David! Dear Rabbi! This was sooo interesting to listen to. It was like entering the world of my childhood when hearing sermons on Gods protection of His forever chosen people (jews) in middle of their trials. And some allutions about the islamic hate towards jews in the end times is frightingly simular and parallel to my christian view of the last days before the end of this age ( next age is the messianic age!) Also the consept of two messia figures was new to me, but in them i see ma y paralells and forshaddows to my own Christian eschatology, especially from the book of Zechariah. I am very gratefull, and will pray for you with all my heart! 1 question: what about the lost tribes of Israel? Personally i believe this will be in VERY near future, in connection with a MASS immigration from the land of the North and a ingathering from the whole earth of the remaining diaspora jews. I would like to thank you for this view of Gog Magog as written about in Ezekiel 38 & 39. As a person raised in an Evangelical church, I remember sermons on this war prophesied for the " End Times". In 1967, I was a senior in High School and remember a sermon about the war between Israel and its neighbors going on that summer. The sermon was basically about the possibility of this possibly being the early stages of the End Times and the Second Coming of Christ could be eminent. Obviously, the Gog Magog conflict didn't happen then but as you said these are Birth Pains as in a woman in Labor. We believe much the same in regards to this issue and one thing is for sure, Israel is center stage for world events in our time. The prophecy said that the events will take place after the Jews are brought back together as a nation and although the world scoffed that was finally accomplished in 1948. May God Bless You. Larry

I encourage you to research the actual process of a seed growing. As I understand it, you dont have a mass of undifferentiated cells which then melt into the earth. My understanding is that there is an embroyinc plant (a mini version) protected by the seed coat. The plant then penetrates through the seed coat while in the ground. I believe the water helps engorge it but I am not sure if its required. I think there are wonderful metaphors you can make with the actual process however to say it dissolves is worth investigating….

I'm not sure if he is directly quoting at this point but he states: "You will notice that before the seed germinates, and begins to produce a plant, it first disintegrates into the ground. It actually kinda totally disintegrates. Then you get a plant." He then goes on to quote Maharal saying that this analogy suggests that for Moshiach to come, we need to obliterate our egotism, arrogance and hubris... So I am saying that if we are looking to this to understand the root of צמח and wanted to make an analogy, you could say perhaps that the root of Moschiach is in every generation and we somehow need to penetrate the protective seed coat, engorge it with water and help begin its germination process. Perhaps Mayim and the idea of 40 is at the root of this germination. I dont know if that is in Torah or not but its closer to what I think would technically happen with a plant. I mean mem is in the middle of tsade and chet...and this happens to be the first verb in Torah (I think) that begins with Tsade, so at its essence, it represents Tsade...Hirsch has this root word meaning: Grow;Expand. I don't know. I just dont think that what was said at that point was accurate.

A hard reality (to understand how Jew could be vs Jew) is that a Jew is meant to be a child of God. But he is a Jew who is one inwardly. Thus many who profess to be his children are still against the heavenly nature. Your comment about birth pain for the new creation, which requires that we let go of our ego is spot on! Gog Magog won't happen until 360,000 years pass away. Zechariah 14 will happen in 2042. They are two different battles.
