SI2 is a grade that measures the level of how included a diamond is. If you look at SI2 diamonds under a loop or better yet a microscope, you should notice them without much effort. Most SI2's (especially the larger one's) are not eye clean, however we at GOG do our best to find our customers those rare one's that are upon request. What this does is keep the price down while to the human eye there would be no visual difference compared to a VS2+. For those who want their diamonds microscopically clean (along with being eye clean), the VS2's and above are then recommended. In the end, it comes down to personal preference steered by the customers desires.
