@@The_Meev Characters actually have a drastically varied set of normals in XV2, with forms of pre-existing being the sole exception. Counting entirely new characters (so not forms like SSB or SSG or Saiyaman), only Goku Black's base form is a clone. It has the least amount of combo string clones out of any other Dragon Ball Arena Fighter, even if it could be improved by decloning those other forms (which is still a valid criticism). The real issues are in its allocation of Skills. Generic skills are reused too many times, and many characters who are perfectly capable of having whole entire movesets consisting of nothing but unique Skills (such as Trunks, Raditz, Nappa, Android 17, Android 18, Gohan, and others) are arbitrarily denied those movesets. Some characters even have Skills that are designed to work with each other but are never applied to the same moveset. Trunks, for example, has this combo that recreates the first death of Frieza: -Burning Attack -Shining Slash (fully charged) -(Any normal string) -Burning Slash But he doesn't have a single moveset with Burning Attack, Shining Slash, and Burning Slash all in one.

Not entirely, for me I personally prefer the Big Bang Kamehameha Texture in Xenoverse, if you really pay attention you can see the contrast difference in colours between the two games I think Xenoverse nailed the Kamehameha. However when it comes to dramatic finishes. FighterZ wins hands down

I would say gameplay wise I'm more of a X2 fan. But looks wise, god I just really am not a fan of the X2 metallic look. All the characters look like metal statues you would buy and display on your shelf. Everything in FZ just looks so much cleaner and more akin to the anime. While FighterZ definitely looks better, and in terms of gameplay is better on a technical standpoint, xenoverse is more accurate to the dragon ball feel in terms of playing. While fighterZ is a fighting game with a dragon ball skin on it, xenoverse is basically just a dragon ball game. So... it just depends on what you want to play at the moment. A beautiful in depth, technical fighting game. Or a 3D arena fighter, with stats (all be it not very well managed and ALL over the place), and more of a dragonball feel to the fights.

@@rigo_ad9317 Both have their flaws, Fighterz looks like the anime does. It's not even the fidelity, it really captures the look and you feel immersed. Xenoverse has flight which fighterz lacks. I'd say xenoverse captures the feel of older dragonball games like BT3 and RB2 instead of the actual anime/manga. The artstyle is just not it, it's too cgi looking. Not that fighterz doesn't use cgi, it's just the end product is distinctly different. For me core DB is that distinct artstyle, beam clashes, punching clashing and insane powerups. Fighterz feels more like dragonball than xenoverse simply of how underwhelming the transformations and art looks

But it has no power ups other than golden frieza, and no beam clashes, and no punch clashes. I still like FighterZ more than xenoverse, but I can admit xenoverse captures a more realistic dB feel. Definitely not in look, but in feel. Yours just seems a bit biased towards FighterZ, while in reality is just a fighting game with a db skin on top

Of course fighterz is gonna look better compared to a game that came out in 2016, especially with different developers. Both are great games to me. And just cause a game has goof graphics, it doesn't mean that one is better than the other. XV2 has some pretty good content, and is one of the best selling DB games. A lot of people still play the game, even with its issues

I honestly prefer dragon ball xenoverse 2 entirely, for me my characters aren’t covered in 10 layers of olive oil, I love the texture for Big Bang kamehameha, and I love how vanisher guard turns around, I love how much more diversity xenoverse 2 has, whenever I play fighters it honestly feels bland, there aren’t enough surprises too it, and xenoverse 2 cutscenes is any dragonball games dream.
