I saw some people giving fun facts so heres mine, when Gogeta Blue used the rainbow looking orb, that move is called Sould Punisher, and it instantly kills anyone who is evil. When he saw Broly lived the attack, he realized broly wasnt evil, hence why you can see him smiling before the sky goes dark because of Shenron
