People get hyped when brolys base form can match SSJB and his full power SSJ needs a blue fusion to beat him but when gohan gets a transformation that's supposedly stronger than Goku and Vegeta people complain and hate on it Even though it makes more sense with Gohans character.

Aw man it's coming back full circle, this is the section of the movie that started your Dragon ball journey, Goku and Vegeta vs the legendary super Saiyan broly. I'm not gone lie I'm getting a little water in my eyes because looking back at how far we have come to get to those specific moment despite the bad feedback in the beginning portion of the movie with dragon ball minus storyline but this right here, the fight scenes is a love letter to us fans across the world. Ain't no doubt that everyone love these fights scene.

I think what happened at 17:50 is that Broly managed to get his own Ki not only around Goku, but kind of inside of him too, then that Ki kind of weakened Goku or hindered him from using his own power, which would explain how fast Broly caught up to SSG, because the Gap between SSJ and SSG is unreal. Then Goku tries to kind of cleanse or rince his body of Broly's Ki by transforming which would kind of explain why Goku had a green Aura and then the beatiful blue aura practically cleansed him of Broly's Ki, and I know it doesn't always seem that way, if you've seen Phangito's Vid on this fight you'll know Blue Goku was actually dominating Broly and I think that actually was Broly's base form limit, which needed a limit break (Super Saiyan) to surpass

I enjoy the fact that technically speaking, Goku was just a side character in this movie, like he was a really important side character, like Broly is the "villain" and that the protagonist could be said to be Vegeta, since the whole plot of this movie revolves around the sins of the father

"Antagonist" works better here. Villain implies evil and Broly isn't that. I'd honestly say Broly is the main character, the antagonist and the plot all in one. Without his anomalous power level at birth there wouldn't have been any revenge against Vegeta in the first place. Hence the name of the film DBS: Broly
