Supreme Kai was actually quite impressive in this episode. Sure, his attacks didn’t have much effect on Buu. But he still proved that he’s got some unique abilities, which could work on other opponents that are not as strong as Buu. I mean, this pink creature seems pretty overpowered, at this point in time at least. And the fact that Shin was able to hold Buu off even a little bit and is still alive after being beaten up by him so many times is really impressive.

@@ritster21 This is because the anime gave to Shin more importance in the fight. In the manga after being hit with the double slap, Shin remains on the ground. It is Buu himself who immediately reaches him on the ground to finish him off. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that the anime gave more credits to him, but this inevitably leads to wrongly think that Shin is on the same level as Gohan (if not superior). In the manga however it is quite clear that he is inferior Also being able to damage Buu's body is unimportant. Vegeta manages to do it against Kid Buu even in basic form precisely because being able to do it is as simple as it is useless

Summoned weapons with magic, shot fire, turned people to stone, actually capitalized on afterimages to surprise opponents. And he is the Demon King. I’m glad at least Heroes was interested in exploring the Demon Realm even if it’s not REALLY canon.

I’m really loving the love for Dabura in the comments. Very underrated, he’s an excellent tactician, he’s very articulate with his words, and his voice is also kinda really cool. When he first meets the saiyans at stage 2 and he greets them by saying they will progress no further, that line with his voice is terrifying. And although he has magic-like powers, he’s a very fair fighter and knows when he’s outmatched and when to retreat. Kinda makes you wonder what Dabura was like before meeting Babadi.

Honestly, a plot surrounding him gathering energy to open a portal to the demon realm and declare a war to Earth would have been a much better idea. Dabura has the looks, the charisma and the skills to be an arc villain. Just make him stronger with his own motivation and I feel like we would have an incredible time.

I don't know how people hate the Boo arc. It has an incredible intro, introduces the best forms and characters, and has a great ending. It slightly drags when they're on the lookout, but everything before and after is full of great moments

The Babadi saga doesn't make much sense. And there is no build up to a final villain fight, because Buu and the heroes keep changing every couple episodes. Is it gonna come down to Vegeta vs Fat Buu, nope. SSJ3 Goku vs Fat Buu, nope. Gotenks vs Fat Buu, nope. Gotenks vs Super Buu, nope. Gohan vs Super Buu, nope. Gohan vs Buutenks, nope. Gokuhan vs Buutenks, nope. Vegito vs Buuhan, nope. SSJ3 Goku vs Kid Buu, kinda. In the Frieza saga, we just knew it would come down to Goku vs Frieza, even before Goku landed on Namek.

What's funny is that Satan is probably *right* on the edge of actually being able to fly, use blasts, and so on. He's absolutely and by far the strongest and most skilled "completely normal human" in the franchise. The discipline it would have taken him to get to where he is has to be immense, just as much if not more than OG Dragon Ball's first training sessions. He simply hasn't been properly exposed to the possibilities. Of course Krillin, Videl, and the rest are human, but after receiving legitimate Ki training you definitely can't call them normal. Gohan could probably train Satan to fly and blast inside a couple days, and if he kept training, he could likely quickly end up somewhere between Yamcha and Krillin. I get that he's a joke character, but I would love to see him gain a bit of power at some point before the story truly ends. The guy's earned something nice at this point, the Earth wouldn't be around without him.

Sorry to say but that wasnt SSJ2 Gohan . At this point he hasnt used SSJ2 since they were back at the world tournament arena before they left with Shin . SSJ2 Gohan wouldve put up a much better fight than he was already in SSJ . Granted he still ultimately wouldve lost but at least he wouldve been SSJ2 . Also Gohan didnt have a Senzu Bean . He literally ate it before they left Goku and Vegeta . Also you was right about the time thing in DBZ when you was explaining about Vegeta not leaving yet but in this case thats wrong Vegeta is still standing there . Honestly I love critically thinking about this show even the toriyama definitely wasn’t for the most part but I like to think babidis mind control thing isn’t perfect cuz it has a majin seal, which you’ll learn about later, but I think Dabura is like 75% mind controlled cuz of the evil in his heart, but depending on a persons will they can overcome it and I think that’s where the other 25% comes in, dabura wanted to protect babidi so he was still controlled but he didn’t do exactly what he said kinda like vegeta

I think for Dabura his mind control was pretty complete. I don’t think the mind control meant the people were mindless more they loved and reverend Babidi so much they would do anything for him. Vegita has too much pride to love someone that much as it’s more than himself. Dabura thus loving Babidi feared for him as he could tell Buu doesn’t have that for Babidi and could thus harm him in the future.

In retrospect when you think about it it kinda makes sense that Supreme Kai isn’t as powerful and underestimates the Saiyans. Like Vegeta has said multiple times, it’s been thousands of years since just a super saiyan alone even existed (or ig since the legends originated) so for a very long time the saiyans weren’t anywhere as strong as the Kai’s. Goku was even weaker than King Kai in the beginning of DBZ. Supreme Kai said he didn’t know that there were beings in the lower realms with this level of power and that’s because they only just recently achieved it. Goku only just became a super saiyan around 10 years ago at this point.

Mr. Satan probably does have a high enough Ki to theoretically fly. He does appear to be stronger than the average male earthling in the show, and Ki is tied to physical strength in some way (don't roast me DBZ Super fans). The warning about jumping out a window lmao When I was about 7 (35 now) my older cousin told me I could fly.
